Blog #15, DUE: Friday, January 27th, 2012

Remember to post your book's title, author, and page #.

Choose two to three characters and very briefly tell us who they are.

If your book were turned into a movie, what actors/actresses would you want to play the parts? (You must choose famous people to play the roles.) Include an explanation of why you choose those actors/actresses.

I just finished The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. This story is about how a support group for cancer children brought together two teenagers named Hazel and Augustus and how their battle against cancer and journey to meet famous author Peter Van Houten changed them forever.
The main character, Hazel, is 17 years old and has battled terminal cancer since she was only 13. She has spent her entire life in hospitals everywhere in search of treatment. Her life changes, however, when she meets the "gorgeous plot twist" named Augustus Waters, a boy she eventually falls in love with.
Personally, this being such a great book written by one of my favorite authors, I wouldn't want it to become a movie in fear of the directors messing up the plot. Otherwise, I think Jennifer Lawrence would make an amazing Hazel- she is very down to Earth and has a great personality.

My book is Into the Wild by Sarah Beth Durst and I am currently on page 95.
In my book their is a 12 year old girl named Julie she is very confused with her life because her family member came from a magical place called "The Wild."
Another character in the book is Julie's mother named Zel. Her mother is very sweet to Julie but very limited in what she tells her about her childhood.
Another character is Julie's grandmother, Gothel. She is very sweet and very much like Zel she is limited in what Julie knows and she also came out from the Wild.

If I had to choose an actress to play Julie I would choose Anna Sophia Robb. I would choose her because she is a young girl with the right look and personality to play Julie. She is also good in adventure movies I've noticed.
For Zel I think I would choose Brooke Sheilds because she is just who I see plying a young teenage mother and she has also played this roll very well before.Anf lastly for Gothel I would choose, Meryl Steep because she is older but yet still manageable for a role and I can picture her playing Gothel.

Killer Pizza by Greg Taylor page #270.

Toby- this is the main character. He is one of the three Monster Hunters in training. He is the least skilled, however his progress in Monster Hunter training is coming along and he is very brave and quick-witted. I think Logan Lerman would be a good actor for Toby because he comes across as shy, and seems like he isn't very talented, but he really is tough and very brave and smart underneath.

Strobe- he is a very tough Monster Hunter in training. He is very vague and lets very few emotions to the surface, but you can tell he cares more about his friends than he lets through. I think Drew Roy could be a great actor for this part because he is really intimidating and tough looking and he seems like the quiet type of person that holds all of his emotions in, but underneath he really cares for the people close to him.

Annabel- another Monster Hunter in training. She is very popular, nice, and brave. She is willing to do what she can to stop the monsters, and even when she gets in sticky situations she stays calm, cool, and collected. I think a good actress for Annabel would be Brenda Song because when she acts she comes across as very tough and strong, but she also seems like a very nice, popular, likable person, just like Annabel.

I'm reading Pretty Little Secrets by Sara Shepard and I'm on page 320.

There are four main characters in the book, so I'm going to use my two favorites.

Hannah- Shes the Queen of Rosewood, a shoplifter, extremely insecure, has a torn family, and loves fashion. I think Kate Hudson would do a very good job playing her role if this book were made into a movie, because her past characters had these qualities.

Spencer- Spencer is a hard-working, driven, unappreciated, successful, and powerful character. She excels at anything she tries, but she doesn't try, she triumphs. A good actress to play her role would be Emma Watson, because she played Hermoine Granger for 10 years and Spencer and Hermoine see life eye to eye and on the same level: success leads to triumph.

I really want to read that book! It is good or really sad?

I just finished reading the book, Need by Carrie Jones.

One character is Zara; she is the main character and was in a depressing mood for the last few months since her stepfather died. Her mom sent her up to live in Maine with her Grandmother, hoping the new scenery would help Zara become for "lively". Living in Maine helps Zara get back to herself. She's withy, friendly and has a stubborn side to her.

Another character is Nick; he is one of Zara's friends in Maine and later become her boyfriend. He has a "hero complex" in him; he always tries to save everyone. Nick is stubborn and at times "hard-headed". He doesn't tell Zara who he really is until the end.

If the book turned into a movie, I would choose Cameron Diaz to play as Zara because she would fit Zara's personality and has been in countless movies, each showing a different kind of character, so Cameron would be a perfect choice. I think that Robert Downey Jr. would be a good choice to play as Nick because he has played heroic and hard headed characters, which would portray Nick perfectly.

I just finished 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher. One of the main characters in the novel is named Clay Jenson. He is a high schooler who is in love with a new girl named Hannah Baker. She recently killed herself and sent cassette tapes to him, and all of the people that caused her to end her life, about thirteen reasons why she committed suicide. He is devastated and torn up the entire book hearing Hannah's voice about why she is going to commit suicide, but how he cannot save her because she is already dead by the time he got the recordings. If i were to pick an actor to play his role, I think Jake T. Austin would fit his role perfectly because that is how i imagined him while I was reading. Also, this boy seems really mellow and shy just like Clay.

Another character in the book is Hannah Baker. She is also a high schooler who moved to a new town, and didn't become fond to anyone. She starts to make a few friends, and they later stab her in the back, her boy friend who she kissed told everyone at school that they did something completely different. Each reason builds onto the other why she committed suicide and it gets worse and worse until the end of the story. If an actress could play Hannah's part in a movie, I think Anna Sophia Rob could pull it off successfully because she has been in many wonderful movies and she looks like a high schooler too. Also, I imagined Hannah to be shy and not out spoken and Anna has played movies where she is that type of girl.

I just finished Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli. The main character is Jeffery "Maniac" Magee, hes a boy who lost his parents when he was little and then ran away from his aunt and uncles, and eventually ended up in Two Mills, where he finally found a place he could call home( the Beal's house).
Amanda Beal was an African american girl who befriended Jeffery and lent him books.
Mars Bar Thomson was an African American boy who always found a reason to pick on or harass Jeffery, but eventually they became good friends. The 3 people i would want to play those characters in the movie are:
Logan Lerman for Jeffery (based solely on looks, he just seems to fit the description of Jeffery),

Keke Palmer, she looks almost exactly like what i think Amanda should look like,

and finally Paul James because he fits with the tough, but secretly a nice guy personality.

Amoore6 said...

Paige- im glad you chose different actors instead of picking the actors that already play in pretty little liars!

Mefferen6 said...

I am 73% done with 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher.

One of the main characters is Hannah Baker. She committed suicide and made 13 tapes that each focused on a specific person and how they were involved in her life and suicide. If I had to choose a famous actress it would have to be Lilly Collins. I have personally only seen her in one movie (Abduction!!) but it seems like she would be a suitable choice because she looks like she could be in high school. Also Lily in Abduction was always around boys and in the book about half of the 13 tapes are focusing on boys.

The other main character is Clay Jenson. He is number nine on the list of tapes and was only friends with Hannah for one night. I think that Zac Efron would be a perfect choice because when he played Charlie in Charlie St. Cloud he had an emotional and sad part and played it wonderfully. In this book Clay feels terribly that he had some part in this suicide and misses Hannah every day.

I did not think of those people. Good choice! I read an article online saying that this book is suppose to become a movie and supposedly Selena Gomez is playing Hanna Baker. I wonder if this is true?!?

I am reading Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and I am on page 466.
One character in my book is Aunt March, who is a rich widow and the aunt of the March sisters. I think she would be great if played by Meryl Streep. Her appearance looks approximately the age of Aunt March.
She also would easily play the role of the cranky old widow perfectly.
Another character is Josephine March who is the second oldest sister of the March family. Josephine is a tomboy who is short tempered and speak without thinking kind of person. I think she would be played well by Selena Gomez, who appeared Tomboyish for lots of disney episodes.

The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan and page 301.

There are three main characters to the book. the first is Percy who shows up at the Roman camp being chased by Gorgans. He is played by Logan Lerman in The Lightning Thief. Another Main Character is Frank Zhang, his mother was KIA and his father is the Roman god Mars the god of War and his life depends on a block of wood. The third main character in Hazel Vasquez who is from the 1940s and has a curse of bringing treasures form the ground however anyone who takes the cursed treasure becomes cursed.

Karoline, What is Killer Pizza about. Tell me about it one day?

cmasio5- I know that was a SSYR book last year, but I didn't know what it was about. It sounds really interesting. It would drive me crazy if I knew my family member was from a magical place but they all refused to tell me about it!

pbasting6- I have the first two books of that series, but I haven't started reading them yet. Hannah sounds pitiful! Do her friends know that she steals and that she's insecure? What led her to be insecure? Was it like her friends joking about her. I remember one of the girls gets made fun of for her weight when they were like in seventh grade, because I've read like the first chapter of Pretty Little Liars, but I can't remember who it was. Was it Hannah?

I am currently reading The Heart and the Fist by Eric Greitens. I am on page 31.
This book is an autobiography of eric grietens journeys around the world and his making of a navy seal. One character is Travis Manion. He was a marine soldier that was stioned in an Iraqi building Barracks. Unfortunatley during an chemical bomb ambush he was hit and died shortly. The main character is Eric Grietens. He is an idealists that wanted to help others around the world. He was in the marines like Travis. I do not know any actor people but if there was one to eric grietns other than him it woould have to be a person that can play the role of a solider well. A person who would play Travis would have to be more like a secondary person willing to do anything for the good of the team, willing to sacrifice himself.

I just finished the book Michael Vey by Richard Paul Evans. Two of the main characters in my book are Michael Vey and Ostin. Michael is a teen with special electrical powers that he obtained when a machine went haywire in the hospital he was born in. He can send hundreds of volts into another object just by touching it and I think Daniel Radcliff would best portray him because I pictured him as brown haired and tall. The other main character Ostin is just a normal person who is Michael’s best friend and is very smart. I believe Angus T. Jones would be a good Ostin because he is described as kind of chubby and not very popular.

CChristensen6 said...

Lena- Those characters sound interesting, is that a book you would recommend?

I on page 71 of Pretty Little Liars: Unbelievable, by Sara Shepard.
The three charachters are all main characters. One is Spencer Hastings, a blond, green eyed, 16 year old. I imagine her as very poised and with a narrow face. The second is Aria Montgomery, a tall, proud, brunette, 16 year old who is very much her own person also known as a wild child. And the last is Emily Fields, a strawberry blond, rule follower, and extreamely good swimmer.
If this was turned into a movie, even though it is already a t.v. series, I would choose Amanda Seyfried as Spencer, Louise Cliffe as Aria, and Blake Lively as Emily. The reason behind my choice of an actress for Spencer is that Amanda Seyfried has a relitively narrow face, blond hair, and green eyes. My choice for Aria was made because Louis Cliffe is a tall brunette that looks close to what I pictured Aria as being. Lastly my reason for choosing Blake lively for Emily is because I saw a picture of her with strawberry blond hair and it looked like how I see Emily.

The book im reading is 13 Reasons Why by JAy Asher and Im on page 104.

Hannah Baker- The pretty girl who commitrs suicide in the begining of the story, she has made tapes about the 13 why she decided to kill herself. I think an actress that could play her would be Taylor Momsen (Sindy Lou Ho from The Grinch Stole Christmas) becuase like Hannah she looks really inoccent, but she has a dark side to her.

Clay- The boy who had a crush on Hannah after a big party they both attended. He is on the tapes so he was one of the reasons Hannah ended her life. I think an actor that could pull off this roll is Josh Hutcherson because everytime I read about Clay, I see him.

etappy6 said...

pbasting6- I so agree with you! Kate and HAnnah are total remakes of eachother, the hair, the personality, EVERYTHING!!!

I am almost finished with Through My Eyes by Tim Tebow and am on page 225.

Tim Tebow's dad, Bob Tebow, was one of if not the most inspirational people in Tim's life. Growing up Tim's dad was a missionary that often traveled to the Philippines to spread "God's word." Tebow is a Christian and his father was and is a major role in his religious life.

One of Tim Tebow's brothers Peter was also a major role in his life. They grew up doing anything they could together and were inseparable. Peter, being older than Tim by 3 years practically was the role model for Tim. In a way Tim "grew up" faster with Peter being his brother. They also both shared the love of sports and often challenged each other.

Tim Tebow's mom Pamela, was the one who nurtured him in his life. She, like his father, was also deeply religious. Growing up she home schooled him and his two brothers for most of his life. Having three kids this was very difficult. Thats why she is such a good mother.

If this book were made into a movie about Tebows life I would choose Tom hanks to be his father and Tim Tebow to be himself. I would choose Tim Tebow to be the character for himself because its about his life and I pretty sure that he can relate the most to it. I would choose Tom hanks to be his father because he has played many dad roles in movies and has a lot of experience. For a younger version of Tim Tebow I would probably choose Thomas Horn because It looks like he did a really good job in extremely loud but incredibly close.

I am on page 36 of Full Tilt by Neal shusterman. Quinn is a person who plays by his own rules, and does anything he wants to do. He is covered in piercings and has long hair covering his face. I would choose Johnny Depp because of his outgoing personality in other movies.

Russ is a person who works out religiously, is very perverted, but is able to be brought back down to earth by his girlfriend, Maggie. I would choose Hugh Jackman to play him because of the way he was able to transform from a coldhearted person to a lovedrivin sap in X-man

I'm currently reading The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, and I just finished it.
The two main characters are Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff. Jack has proposed to someone named Gwendolen, and Algernon has proposed to Cecily. However both of them had been using fake brothers to get out of events they did not wish to attend. Unfortunately, both Gwendolen and Cecily, who have never met each other, think they are marrying a man named Ernest. As you can tell the plot line is fascinating, but very confusing.
This book takes place in the turn of the last century in London. It was made into a movie in 2002. In that film Jack Worthing was played by Colin Forth. This is exactly how I imagined him to be, and Colin Forth depicted the character perfectly. The actor who played Algernon Moncrieff is Rupert Everett, I imagined him to be older and to look different. Though the actor depicted the character very well. I probably could've seen Kenneth Branagh, who was Professor Lockhart in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, playing Algernon instead. This manly because of his looks, and personality when he played Professor Lockhart.

Halt is Will's former master and is a very demanding and grim character. Halt should be played by Jeromy Irons because in the two movies I've seen him in he played a grim and determined character.

I am reading The Hostile Hospital which is the eighth book in the Serious of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, I am on page 71. The three main characters are Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudilaire. They are all very intelligent, polite and soft spoken children, not to mention extremely clever. Violet was born first and is known for her inventing skills and the way she ties up her hair while she thinks. Klaus enjoys reading in comfortable libraries and can usually remember most of what he reads. Sunny is a toddler who has recently learned to walk, she uses the few teeth that she has to bit hard objects. This particular book has not been made into a movie, however there was a film created after the series. The actors that played these roles expressed the characters very well so if this book was turned into a movie I would use them again. Violet was played by Emily Browning, Klaus by Liam Aiken, and sunny by Kara Hoffman.

I am reading The Westing Game written by Ellen Raskin. I am on page 11.

One character in this book is Otis Amber. Otis is supposedly a delivery boy though he is really old. Otis was just introduced and he speaks of magnificent and impelling tales of the dead man, Samuel W. Westing, and the will he left for the Westing heir. It starts with the rumors of Mr. Westing and how he supposed to be living in an island though people think his corpse still lies on the floor of the Westing Estate. Otis practically explains what is going on through creepy and twisted stories. A good actor would be Matt Damon because he is older and looks to be that story-telling kind of guy.

Another character is Barney Northrup. The narrator of this book thinks there is no such person but he is actually a realtor. He tries to sell the apartments of SunSet Towers and happens to make every sell he has attempted; six just one morning! He is mysterious and uses the same old lines to make a sale to every couple he meets, "You're really in luck. There's only one apartment left, but you'll love it. It was meant for you." In my opinion, I think a good actor for this role would be Daniel Radcliffe because he typically plays mysterious roles and does a very good job at it.

Currently I am reading a book about the environmental movement, but there aren't really any characters in it because it is more factual, so instead, I am going to do this blog on the book I just finished, Smiles to Go by Jerry Spinelli.
The main character, Will, would have to be played by the 15 year old Jason Dolley (Jason is now, like, 20, but he was on Disney as a younger kid). Jason has the looks of Will and the personality. He's a silly actor and Will is sort if a silly kid who doesn't take life too seriously.
BT is Will's best friend, and he would have to be played by Jake T. Austin, the kid from Wizards of Waverly Place. When I think of BT, I automatically think of Jake. They have the same look and the same personality. They are both funny and both of them don't seem like the brightest crayon in the box.
Mi-Su is friends with both BT and Will and she would definitely have to be played by a young version of Brenda Song. The two of them seem independent and smart, and the way that Mi-Su is described sounds like she would look a lot like Brenda Song.

WKlettner- Johnny Depp seems like a really good actor to play that character! He is such a diverse actor because he can play just about any part, and he has the ability to look completely different in any movie (ex. Pirates of the Carribean vs. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).

I just finished reading the book Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay, and there are several characters, but the ones that I choose are Julia, and Bertrand Julia is one of the main characters, and she is an American woman who has been living in France for 25 years, almost half of her life. She works as a journalist for an American magazine and is given a story on the Vel D' Hiv, the huge roundup of Jewish families living in France by the French Police. During this, she discovers that she is tied to this event in ways she never would have expected. She still is not accepted by her in-laws as part of the family, and feels uncomfortable around most of them knowing they do not respect her. Bertrand is Julia's husband. He is extremely selfish and believes he is superior to Julia because he is French. He is also very arrogant, and extremely self absorbed. At the same time, Julia loves him and puts up with all of this. Sarah is the second main character, whose story occurs much earlier in the time of the Holocaust. Her story ties into Julia's.
This book was already made into a movie but I was very disappointed with the actors. These are my choices.
For Julia : I would have Sandra Bullock play this character. I think that she has quite a bit of experience in playing different types of roles, and she would fit the part well. Her appearances also fit the part, an attractive middle aged woman, who is very strong and stubborn.
For Bertrand : I would have Matthew Mcconaughey play him. He is very much able to play the role of an arrogant person, and I just think he is fit to play Bertrand. He has the ability to appear extremely self absorbed, exactly like Bertrand.

My book is I.Q. by Roland Smith and I am on page 59.

Quest Munoz:

A very intelligent boy (nicknamed I.Q.) and a boy who does a lot of thinking through. He loves magic especially card tricks. Since he is a very good magician he is a good actor and can set up things and make them work whenever he wants. He really is like any other typical teenage boy who is good in school. Mostly get A's in subjects he likes. Has a hobby that he can not stop doing. And has a hard time understanding why to do work earlier than it's due.

Angela Tucker:

Angela is Quest's new stepsister in the book. She is two grades ahead of Quest and is a straight A student. She always carries a camo-backpack and always wears sunglasses wherever she goes. She has a very observant personality and is very logical in what she chooses to do. She is not the most talkative person either.

If I were to create this movie, Quest would be Cole Sprouse and Angela would be Madeline Carrol. Cole Sprouse because in his role of the Disney Channel series of Zach and Cody, he is seen as the smart intelligent boy and usually has something interesting he can do. This is what Quest is like in the book. Cole also has the physical look of Quest (although Quest has curly hair). Madeline Carrol plays many roles where is she is the stepsister of the family where she does not talk about personal things and is a little secluded. Angela is like that in the book especially when Angela wears the sunglasses which hides her emotions in a way and excludes herself from everyone else. Angela also never really opens up or brings up anything very personally.

The book that I read was Twisted by Laurie Halse Anderson and I finished the book last week. One character was Tyler Milller, the main character in this book. He is this nerd-gone-bad-boy senior who loves Bethany Milbury, the second main character, and almost got the girl. She liked him, but at a party with a lot of drinking, he chose not to go along with her.
If this book became a movie, I would want Tyler Pose to play Tyler, not only because of the name, but because the way the author described him, I think he would be perfect for the part. For Bethany, I think that Meaghan Martin would play a great Bethany because she is a blonde girl who seems that she would be the most popular girl in school.

I am reading Through my Eyes by Tim Tebow with Nathan Whitaker. I am currently on page 19.
So far in this book the two main characters would be Tim Tebow and his mom, Pamela. Tim Tebow is the main character of the book. This book tells the life of Tim Tebow and how he got to where he is today. The second character is Tim Tebow’s mom. Tim’s mom is the other main character so far because Tim and his mom have created a really strong relationship due to her struggles during her pregnancy with Tim.
If I made this book into a movie I would use Channing Tatum as the actor for Tim because he is built similar to Tim Tebow and he has also played as tough characters in previous movies. As for Tim’s mom, I would choose Sandra Bullock. I feel as if Sandra Bullock is the right choice to act as Pamela because she has Was the mom in Blind Side and is a very good actress.

I am reading Through My Eyes by Tim Tebow (with Nathan Whitaker) and I am on page 76.
Tim Tebow is the main character and the story is told from his perspective. So far in the book, Tim has basically recapped his childhood and I am currently reading the part where he is describing his high school experience. He talks about how determined he was to work harder than anybody playing high school football and how all he wanted to do was work out and practice. He is extremely competitive and always competed with his brothers at home. Another character in the story is Tim Tebow's dad, Bob Tebow, who is the patriarch of the family. Bob is extremely involved and supportive in everything his children do and he is a strong Christian and takes trips to the Philippines to preach the word of God. He also is very concerned and cautious with what Tim does regarding weightlifting and working out because he wants to prevent the possibility of stunting Tim's growth. A third character is Tim's mom, Pam Tebow. She, like Bob, is a strong Christian and plays a major role in her children's religious and school lives because they are homeschooled.

If this book were turned into a movie, I would choose Mark Wahlberg to play the role of Tim Tebow starting in high school and from then on. Wahlberg did an excellent job in The Fighter and is the body size and shape to play Tim Tebow. He showed great determination in the workout scenes of The Fighter and I could see him doing that again in this movie. I would want Craig T. Nelson to play the role of Bob Tebow. Nelson has done a great job at father roles in numerous movies and does a fantastic job as the patriarch in the T.V. show Parenthood. Bob Tebow is the patriarch of the Tebow family so I can see Nelson definitely playing this role. Lastly, I would choose Sela Ward to play Pam Tebow. Ward has won multiple Emmy Awards and is a refined, polished, southern woman, just like Pam Tebow.

The book I am reading is Need by Carrie Jones, and I am on page 52.
The main character's name is Zara, and she is very depressed and different after her father passes away. When she's nervous, she chants phobias because she is unsure of others ways to handle feeling like this. From where I am at now, she is very mysterious and not much about her has been revealed. It is almost like she is hiding who she really is behind someone else. Another character is Zara's grandmother, Betty. Betty if very concerned with Zara's current condition and is determine to help her feel better. While Grandma Betty is very sarcastic, she is also very loving too.

If my book were to become a movie, I think Kristen Stewart would do great as Zara because she performed really well in Twilight and Zara reminds me a lot of Kristen's character, Bella. They share a lot of the same characteristics and both plots involve the main character temporarily moving away to somewhere dreary. For the grandmother, I would choose Diane Keaton because she shares a lot of traits with Grandma Betty.

I just finished my book The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore. In the book there is a guy named Nine who was trapped in the Mogadorians’ cave because he has the special power they are after. He escapes due to an explosion that John Smith and his friend make in the cave. He kind of has an edge to him and he doesn’t seem to get nervous in tough situations. He’s just so excited to finally be able to use his powers. I think Josh Hutcherson would play this part well. He just seems to have the look I was thinking of in my mind. The next character is Ella She is an orphan who comes to stay at the church in Santa Teresa, Spain. She meets up with Seven and she tells her that she is number ten. Ella has the ability to change from old to young or vice versa. I think Joey King would be perfect to play Ella she’s exactly the same age as her. When I picture her being Ella she just looks good playing her.

I am reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, by Stieg Larson, and I am on page 250.

First there is Mikeal, he is a detective for a financial magazine named Millennium, who had to leave because he could not prove his case in "the Wennerstrom Affair." and the whole magazine would be prosecuted is he did not leave and now has to investigate a murder that occured 40 years ago.

Second, There is Lisbeth Salander some people would describe her as a "social outcast." Nobody expected it, but she is a Superb detective and can investigate a person without missing a detail. She is very smart and didn't finish school. She has black hair and a lot of ear and facial piercings.

Third there is Henrik Vanger, He is a senior financial genius. He ran Venger Corporations and gave the control to his nephew since he had no children and his niece he presumes is dead. Henrik hired Mikeal to investigate his niece's murder which he had been studying for 40 years. Hoping Mikeal would find some details he missed.

to play these parts i would pick: Leonardo DiCaprio to play Mikeal since he (in my opinion) plays his parts best in mystery/thriller movies.

i would pick Angelina Jolie to play Lisbeth Salander, based on her previous perfomance on the movie "gia" which she won an oscar for.

I would lastly pick i would pick Gary Oldman to play Henrik Vanger, since he is such a great mysterious/thriller actor. And also because I need a senior citizen to play the part.

Sarah ~ You did not choose three people from your book to put into actors, only one.

Leah- That book sounds good. That's so sad that her dad passed away though.

I am currently reading The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch and I am on page 66. The main character in this book is Stephen, a fifteen-year-old who is very tough and has learned how to cope with his country, which is now in shambles after a huge plague wiped out most of their population. I think Josh Hutcherson would play this part well because this book is similar to the Hunger Games, in which he plays Peeta, who reminds me of Stephen in this book. Another main character is Stephen's father, who has taught Stephen all he knows and is pretty young. I think Sam Worthington would be a great actor to portray Stephen's father because they are around the same age and Sam Worthington has played in movies similar to this book.

Connor, I agree with your choice of Daniel Radcliffe to play Michael because he has proved that he can play the role of someone in an action movie through Harry Potter. Keep up the great work!

I just finished Broken Date by R.L. Stine. The two main characters of my book are Jamie and Tom. They were in a steady relationship until Tom missed a date and they broke up. Jamie is a drama queen and freaks out about everything and constantly screams. Tom is nice and is frequently doing things for Jamie. If my book were to become a movie I would have Taylor Lautner play Tom. The reason why is because I believe Taylor could play the romantic role needed for the movie. I would pick Miranda Cosgrove to play Jamie because she would be the perfect person to act out Jamie and how Jamie is so rambunctious and hyper, but can also be a part of a romantic scene.

Mary Anne- I read 13 Reasons Why and I loved it. I hope you're enjoying it.

I just finished the book A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. The blog is kind of hard for me because it is placed in Afghanistan with many young people, and there aren't many actresses that fit this.

Mariam- for this part in the book she is a young 15 year old girl. She is a baby produced out of wedlock, and this causes a constant problem for her. I would pick Ileana, she is a famous Teluga actress. This is because while she somewhat fits my image of Mariam she also is very talented at playing depressed, but forgiving characters.

Laila- A blonde, green-eyed young woman who is apparently quite the beauty and very intellectual/defiant. I would want Naomi Watts. This is because she fits the character description and while being gentle, she doesn't sacrifice her ideals in the process.

Tariq- A handsome man that stepped on a landmine when he was a child and lost his leg. He is kind and humorous, but has a little bit of a vengeful streak that mellows with age. I want him to be played by Colin Farrell. This actor can easily shift from character to character, but always carries a little bit of himself to the part that I think would be great for Tariq.

SRosenberger5-
I love books with "gorgeous plot twists". Anyway, when I think about what it would be like to have to battle cancer right now and just abandon my everyday, normal life I feel so thankful for everything.

I'm currently Bruiser by Neal Shusterman I am on page 63.

Brewster(Bruiser)- A burly teenage boy who is dating Bronte. He has large scars all across his back and hew is known as bruiser for his intimidating appearance.
If any person were to play him it should Brad Garret. For he is extremely tall and has a really deep voice that would fit the bruiser well.

Bronte- Is a teenage girl who is dating Brewster and is the brother of Tennyson. She is stubborn and enjoys an argument. She finds different people intriguing and tends to hang out with them. Dakota Fanning should play her for this is how i picture Bronte and Bronte is often very emotional, Dakota Fanning plays emotional roles to perfection.

Wrenn that book seems good cause its by Neal Shusterman and he is a great author.

The book that I recently finished was The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan. Two of the three main characters are Percy Jackson and Hazel Levesque. Percy is the son of Neptune (Poseidon)and Juno (Hera) took his memory for 8 months. He was born a Greek demigod but learns the Roman culture at Camp Jupiter/ the Roman demigod camp. Hazel is the daughter of Pluto, the god of the Underworld, and she has a curse where any riches near or under her just pop up but everything she brings up is cursed. She died in Alaska when she was 13 which was around 1942 but her half-brother Nico de Angelo, son of Pluto, brought her back from the Fields of Ashophel. An actor that would play Percy would be Logan Lerman becuase he plays Percy in the first movie The Lightning Theif. An actress who would play Hazel would be Taylor Parks, was Little Inez in Hairspray. On the S.o.N. website Hazel is portrayed as black and so is Taylor. She can appear young but can also be a little fiesty sort of like Hazel.

SarahR5~ The first time I tryed to post you were the only one that had commented so i read yours. At first I felt like if i put Hazel as one of my characters i might seem like i was copying your character's name. The irony that there's a Hazel in your book too. :)

My book is Imperfect Justice by Jeff Ashton. I am on page 131. This book is very intense but I think it kind of makes a mockery of the Casey Anthony Trial. It paints Casey well just how she was in the trial. Unconcerened, very calm, and emotionless. The actor to play Casey would be Kristen Stewert. I think that Jeff Aston should be played by George W. Bush because they are both intelligent and sort of old/the same age and look very similar. Jose Baze should be played by Geogre Lopez because they both have made a mockery of the court and made it a joke. Lopez would do a great job in making it seem like the real trial.

Sarah - Cool! I like how you choose the actor for that reason! I also love your book! It is SO good!

I am currently reading The Scorch Trials by James Dashner and am on page 252.

The main character in this book is Thomas. He is teenaged and has been forced to participate in gruesome tests with a group of other teens. An actor I would choose to play Thomas would be Daniel Radcliffe because I pictured him when I read this book.

Another character in this book is Teresa. She is one of the teens in the group and can talk to Thomas telepathically. An actress I would choose to play her would be Emma Watson because her character traits are similar to the ones of Teresa.
