Blog #12, Due: December 7th, 2012

Write your novel's title and the author.

Choose an unpopular character from your novel (perhaps the villain or a different character who is not well-liked).  Write a paragraph from that character's perspective.

I am reading Eragon by Christopher Paolini. A farm boy named Eragon was hunting in the woods one day and came across an odd looking stone. Little did he know, it was a dragon egg. It was sent to him by the elf princess, Arya, as she tried to escape from the evil Shade, Durza, who was sent by King Galbatorix to retrieve it. The egg is sent before Durza can stop it, and in his anger he captures Arya and holds her prison. The main, unliked villan, King Galbatorix, sends out his army and leaves Durza to stop Eragon from reaching the freedom fighters known as the Varden. For, if the Varden discover a new Dragon Rider, it will give them hope to defeat and rebel against him once more. I am choosing to write the following paragraph from King Galbatorix's perspective on how he sees Eragon recieving his dragon, Saphira, and becoming a Dragon Rider and how the egg escaped him.
Galbatorix's Perspective: I couldn't believe Durza would dare to come back and tell me the egg was gone. And to make matters worse, the egg had already hatched to a mere farm boy. Didn't it cross Durza's mind that if the boy reaches the Varden hiding in the mountains, then it would give them hope to rebel against me? I had to fight many people to get to this throne and I killed many Dragon Riders and their dragons to obtain it. Such a waste of my time, it was. And I'm not about to waste anymore time squashing pitiful rebellions to those who can't accept that I'm the King. I must stop this boy and his helpers from reaching the Varden! I'll lend Durza my troops, and have him summon his Ra'Zac and gather our Urgle allies. For now, until we get news on the boy's wherabouts now, Durza can be in charge of his death and searching for him. Till then, all I can do is wait and plot my next move.

I am reading Sweethearts by Sara Zarr. In the beginning of the book, Jennifer is in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade and is an outcast. Everyone thinks she is fat, ugly, and just weird in general, and no one wants to be friends with her. Except, for Cameron Quick. Cameron has been Jennifer's best and only friend throughout elementary school. Cameron always sticks up for Jennifer when she is bullied by Jordana, a mean girl at their school who LOVES picking on Jennifer, calling her "Fattifer".
Jordana's Perspective: Ugh! I can't believe that fat girl has a friend! She's so ugly and fat, why would that weird kid Cameron want to be friends with her?! Then again, he's really weird too. I'll have to get Matt to beat him up, so the little baby Jennifer will cry over him. I can't wait till tommorow!! It's going to be hilarious!

I am reading Dance Anecdotes Stories from the worlds of ballet, broadway, the ballroom, and modern dance by Midy Aloff. In the part that I am reading the evil charcter is the coreographer Jerry.
Jerry's Perspective:I can’t believe that Ms. Posey was sitting down in the studio when I walked in for Watermill rehearsal! I had told her to keep practicing this one particular step from the West Side Story suite. When I said that she was not doing my ballet anymore, she looked at me like I had two heads. But eventually I got her up and I made her go through it three or four times. Every time she could not get the final step quite right. She was not putting enough feeling behind it for the step to have any meaning. So I had to yell at her to pretend that she was being punched in the stomach. That still did not work, so I threaded to come over there and actually punch her. That got the message through. I started that Water Mill rehearsal late, but I was happy with the way she was doing the step. And she shall never forget how to do it either, less I come over and punch her in the stomach. The other dancers in the room probably were angry that I was spending time on a girl that was not doing Watermill, and that it was not even something from Water Mill. But it was worth it. She probably hates me for singling her out in rehearsal in front of all the professionals, but it was worth it and she will be doing it the best out of everyone on stage, and I am looking forward to the performance.

I am reading Code Orange by Caroline B. Cooney. My book is about a procrastinator who is extremely lazy and lives in New York City. He is assigned with the task of doing a report on an infectious disease, and wants to turn something in. At his weekend house (his parents are rich), he finds a couple old medical books. One of the books contains an envelope with two scabs in it, labeled Variola Major. He accidentally becomes infected with Variola Major, which he discovers is a form of smallpox. The "villain" of my novel would be the disease he has. Although it is the only villain, it is a virus with no technical life, but what is called a shelf life. This is from the perspective of the virus if it were a conscious thing.
Variola Major's perspective: I was stuck in that stupid envelope for 102 years, which is 1902, and it feels good to finally have a living body to have and get me going again.

My book is Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. The main villain is the cooperation Special Circumstances who run the cities of the world. In the city the book takes place in, all children under 16 are called uglies. on your 16th birthday, you get an operation that makes you a pretty, and you get to live in a new world that you can do whatever you want. But, during the surgery, you somehow get a small flaw in your head that makes the community so easy to control that they fallow all of the rules and never do anything crazy like rebel. The only other people in the society that do not have the flaw is workers of Special Circumstances, and people who have to think quick, like doctors and firefighters. One of the main villains in Special Circumstances is the Doctor, Doctor Cable.
Dr. Cable's perspective: All of the citizens are acting like sheep in an ever closing pen; not even knowing that what independence and freedom that they have is so few and so small that if we told them to stay in their rooms and never leave they would think that they could leave at any time. They also have no idea that the one little hope that they had left, the town of Smoke, is gone forever, up in smoke. And now, we can show what happens to rebels, while getting rid of all of their ideas with their sane mind. Thank goodness for the flaw!!

My book is “The Sorceress,” by Michael Scott, and my paragraph is on the immortal Nicholas Flamel, when him, and two twins, Sophia and Josh, who are unhappy with the Alchemyst, because he placed them in a lot of danger, and wield enormous magical power, are attacked in the fortress of the Saracen Knight by John Dee, the Archon (almost like a god) Cernunnos, and an army of wolves...

In front of me, the Gold Twin, Josh, attacked John Dee, one of the worse moves he could have made, as Dee was by far the better swordsman. There was nothing I could do at this point; the boy was going to have to learn not to get into trouble with more powerful people! First Hekate almost reducing him to a pile of goop, and now this! However, even as I thought this, Sophie quickly told her brother something, he immediately became cloaked in his golden aura, and when he clashed swords with Dee, Excalibur’s bluish blade became black, while Clarent was still cloaked in Josh’s golden glow. It seems that Josh’s concentration slipped, though, and a huge explosion sent the English Magician flying backwards. Josh seemed unstable, until the Saracen Knight, or Palamedes, called out “time to go! There is a time to fight and a time to run.” I agreed, and the Saracen Knight guided us to a car, where we made our escape from the Archon Cernunnos, who wreaked destruction on the fortress in the junkyard, made out of cars and junk metal. I still realized that the boy distrusted me, but all my lies have been necessary, even if I was unpopular with the twins. The fate of the world rests in their hands, and there are some things that they needn’t know, like the true nature of Gilgamesh, whom I’ve already told them we are going to meet...

ABerryman5,that is a unique perspective on Eragon, and that is one of my favorite series! Good job.

I am reading The Cinderella Pact by Sarah Strohmeyer. In the book, 30 year old Nola Devlin works as an editor for Sass! Magazine. Nola is considered "fat "in her hometown of Princeton, Manhattan, because everyone else is skinny and rich, when in retrospect, Nola is only slightly overweight. Nola is denied a job as a writer/columnist, by her boss Lori DiGrigio, because of her size/weight, and is forced to take a job as an editor. Nola, along with her friends, is tired of being discriminated against because of their weight, and form the Cinderella Pact. Nola also creates a fake identity, and applies for the same job she was declined; except as a skinny British woman named Belinda Apple, with style, flair, and a big point of view on things in life. Lori is overjoyed, and in love with Belinda's column, but because she doesn't know it's actually Nola, she is still hateful towards Nola as a co-worker. I am writing from the perspective of Nola's boss, Lori DiGrigio.
Nola why are you such a pain? Why can't you be more like Belinda? She always does such a great job, and turns things in on time. I mean she IS the best columnist for Sass! She has sent the sales through the roof!.......and not to mention she's skinnier than you…..But anyway as I was saying, try to turn in your edits ON TIME for once! Oh and by the way, those frumpy black looking clothes you call outfits, yeah, try to get some color into 'em, you look like your going to a funeral, and not to mention scaring away future clientele.

I am reading Eight Keys by Suzanne LaFleur. This book is about a girl who has lost her Father and Mother, and is now living wih her Aunt and Uncle. Her best friend has a... well unnormal personality. Elise, (girl) is on an adventure with her best friend, Franklin, to find out what is locked away in her Unle's attic. They believe it has to do with her dad; but not so sure as they try to break in numerous times. I think an unimportant character is a classmate, (Amanda) in her middle school who is pretty but also mean to people who she doesn't like; for example, Elise.
"Ughh, Elise why do you not take care of yourslef?" You have scraped up legs and dress like a boy! Your best friend is a four-eyed weirdo and all you guys do is play Knights in your "MMagical" forest. Grow up Elise, maybe you should go back to the all boys school where you came from; because clearly nobody likes you except for Franklin.
As you can tell, Amanda is the villian in Elise's school; popular, pretty, and gets everything she wants. I hoped you liked my blog :)

I am reading Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen. An unpopular character would be Garret.

Julianna needs therapy. I mean, nothing she does or says makes sense! Walking towards her house with Bryce makes me realize this. She raises chickens in her backyard, and cried for a week just because a tree got cut down. She needs to go to the guidance counselor... hmm... maybe I should arrange that.

MaceyD6: I like your paragraph, very funny!

I am still reading Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. The villains in my book would be President Snow. He's the person that keeps on enforcing this game every year making each district give up two tributes to be in this televised blood bath.
President Snow's Perspective: I must be brilliant to have thought of the Quarter Quell idea. So many victors from the past will compete so this year should be interesting. And that Katniss girl! She doesn't love Peeta with all her heart; it's impossible! She is completely selfish for using a young man just to get out of these games. Because of HER, we have rebels scattered everywhere around these districts. I MUST extinguish any act of retalliation.

ABerryman5: Eragon is amazing. I hope you like it. :)

A character in the book Then Again Maybe I won't by Judy Blume who could be considered a villain might be a boy named Joel. This is true because he attempts to shoplift, (and often succeeds with this), several times throughout the book. In addition to this, he influences the main character,Tony, to do things such as drink alcohol.

Joel's Perspective: That kid Tony tries to act cool, but I know he's really just a wimpy goody-two-shoes. I also know he likes my sister...so why doesn't he just say so?! Tony always talks about his old house like he really misses being there, and it's starting to annoy me. I've heard him talking about me taking stuff here and there from stores and how I'm "not supposed to do that." Who does he think he is, my mom? I swear, if that kid ever rats me out, I'll kill him.

KBelvin5,
I think you did a really good job on capturing the character's voice. You're an awesome writer:)!

I am reading Maximum Ride: The Final Warning by James Patterson. The villain of this story is Ari.Ari is a Eraser that is half human and half wolf. Ari was killed in Angel's Experiment, but he revives in School's Out Forever. Then, he wants to fight with Max and pay his revenge.
Ari's Perpspective: I remember when I first fought with Max. Everyone thought I was dead, but I actually did not. One day, I will fight you Max. Althought Max is my enemy, I love to fight with her because she has the power. However, I cannot believe that six children are still alive. I thought they would be killed, but somehow they always avoid their death. I am still waiting for you Max. Next time I meet you, I sure will kill you. Watch your back you little 2% bird.

I am currently reading Insergent by Vironica Roth. The villan in this book is Jeanine Matthews. She is the leader of the faction Erudite, which is the faction of knowledge, and wants to take control of all the factions. The following paragraph is from her prespective of taking over the factions.

I believe ithat it is plausible to control all the factions. I however do not believe Abnegation should be in control of the government. All of people in Abnegation are ignorant and are looking for power. All the "help" they are giving the factionless is for there own pleasure, to keep all the good food for themselves. Therefore I will be the one in change of this large group. I understand the need for most of the factions and will keep them but I am the rightful leader, it is nessesary to have myself in such a position of power. I will do everything to have this pleasure and control the minds of all the factions.

Right now I’m reading the book Mediator: Shadowland (first book) by Meg Cabot. Suze just moved to sunny California with her mom who just remarried. She has a new home and school and just wants to start fresh. The only problem is that Suze is a mediator meaning she can see ghost. The dead just won’t leave her alone. Everything starts at her new school when she meets the mean ghost Heather (killed herself over a break up). It’s Suze’s job to send ghost to where they belong. But Heather has no intention of leaving. All she wants to do is be with her boyfriend. But that would mean killing him.
Heather’s perspective: Why won’t she just leave me alone? All I want to do is be with my boyfriend again. Doesn’t she realize that I love him?! Is she trying to ruin my life! If she even thinks about dating him I’ll be sure that her life becomes miserable just like mine! Just because I am dead doesn’t mean I don’t still have feelings. If she gets in my way of being with Bryce one more time I’ll make sure that she’s sleeping at the bottom of a lake.

I just read Brotherband Chronicals The Outcasts by John Flanagan.
In this book Hal is an unwanted half Araluen and half Skandian. His father was a mighty warrior and one of the best in Skandinavia. His mom however was once a slave bought buy his dad, freed her, and than married her. This made Hal an outcast among Hallasholm the capitol of Skandinavia.
"Hey Heron" I said after I walking in to my work shop. The only thing to take my time away. You're going to make history with our new sail design it will be much more sufficent. Well, maybe after this people won't treat me as an outcast anymore. Hope is all we got, atleast I have Thorn and Stig the outcast three. Atleast I will always have them.

I am reading Daniel X: Final Destination by James Patterson. A boy named daniel has been trying to flee his home to get away from The Prayer and his men. He has been running for two of the Daniel X books. The Prayer killed his parents in hunt for the list (A list of the most wanted monsters), because with the list, The Prayer would kill off the competition till he was the baddest monster of all. But before The Prayer could get the List, Daniel, when he was 3, grabbed the List and has been laying low killing the Prayers men as much as he could. He is now 17 and still fleeing, looking for clues to help him hunt down The Prayer. Daniel still has the list and is keeping an eye on if The Prayer is doing any damage to the other villain/monsters. The Prayer is the main villain in this book.
The Prayer Perspective:S top running you scum, you continue to run but i still sense you. I already killed your family, friends, and pretty much everyone and everything you love, just give-up. There is nothing left for you in this world, just let me end your life quick and painless. Just kidding about the quick and painless part. If I get my hands on you, I will kill you slowly, bone by bone.

I'm reading Fall of a Kindom by Hilari Bell, 1st of the Farsala Triology. In this book, there are three main characters in a medieval enviorment, each of them coming from different backrounds. Kavi, a young peddler who had aspired to be a blacksmith but was assualted and crippled is peasant born, Lady Soraya is a Deghess (high born daughter of the Farsalan Army Commander), and Jiann, a half-peasant, half-Deghan child of the Commander as well, except his mother who was a peasant makes him aparently a "bastard". Kavi is the one of the three who is originally ddespised and disliked because he acted as a spy and traitor of the Farsalan Army and later switched sides again back to the Farsalans, is treated badly as a traitor. However, the author creates the mood of the book in a way where you undderstand that the Deghan's he betrayed deserved betrayal, and Kavi did the right thing; he is still hated on though.

Kavi: I looked up at them, all around me, sneering and shouting at me after my admission of being a traitor. My reasons were ignored, went straight through their ignorent, dispicable deghan heads, who prefered revenge over reason. All I wanted now was to follow their example, I was glad I had done this to them, they deserved it.

MalloryD6: OMG Cinderella sounds so amazing!!! I waqnt to read that so bad, you made it sound amazing.

ABerryman5: I read that a while ago, it was really interesting and that author is good.

I am reading The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan and this paragraph will be by Gaea, the main villian.

Those sad demigods actually believe they have a chance to defeat me! There are only seven of them against my army; everyone knows that only gods and demigods together can put me to rest. All the gods are in confusion from their Greek/Roman sides mixing. They'll never be able to join everybody needed to fight me. Though, I almost feel pity on them; they've gone through so much and come so far just to fail. But that's only an almost, I will never regret my rightful return. I am the true ruler of all, not those blasted gods! Once I fully awaken and regain my powers, no one will be able to stand in my way!

I am reading 1984 by George Orwell. Winston, the main character lives in a society completely ruled by a dictator, Big Brother. Big Brother makes it look like he's never wrong by erasing all documents of the past and rewriting them to make him seem right. He makes anyone who's even suspicious of him being wrong disappear. The country is very poor but its citizens don't know that because they are given no chance to see what life elsewhere is like.
Big Brothers Perspective: The people in this society, they don't get anything! It's so easy and fun too trick them. All I have to do is kick back, they'll do it all themselves. For instance, I'll just tell them that we're winning the war. They'll be thrilled to hear that! Yes, that's exactly what I'll do next!

I am currently reading The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks. A girl named Blaze in this book would be the villain. Blaze is the villain because when Ronnie met her she had seemed a little uneasy. However, she seemed nice. So, Ronnie became friends with her. Though, one night Ronnie was caught with Marcus, Blaze's boyfriend. Blaze had thought Ronnie was flirting with him so when she met up with Ronnie again she put an item in her purse. When Ronnie tried to chase her and walked out the door, the alarm went off. Ronnie got into much trouble with her father, but claimed it was not her fault and she was telling the truth.
Blaze's perspective: Ugh! I don't want to see that girl again! She is always hanging around Marcus and I'm sick of it! She always tells me she wasn't flirting with Marcus, but I don't believe her! Why the heck did she come down here anyway! She's just making it worse for everyone here! I would give anything for her to leave this place and go back to New York. She doesn’t know me and that’s why our friendship didn’t work out.

After listening to those tapes, I don't think I can ever be the same. Sure, what she said just might of been true, but definently not all of it. I mean, it was here choice, so here fault there. I don't get why everyone's making a big sappy deal. Okay, maybe I was a little mean once or twice, but nothing to die over. Should I even mail them to Justin? Nah, there's nothing she or anyone could do about it. I'll just toss 'em.

Fire by Kristen Cashore
The Raptor:
I spread my wings as I fly across the bright blue sky. The clouds bathe me in tiny water droplets that cling to my leathery wings. I give a tiny shake and they flake off. Suddenly the smell of monster blood invades my senses. What could it be? Maybe a lion or a sheep; it is hard to say. It’s easy to tell there is something delicious down there. I point my wings downwards to speed descending just enough so the prey cannot see me. It’s a baboon. It seems injured: I guess I can “put it out of its misery.” I’m hungry. I have to eat. I have to live. As instinct and tradition, I circle the prey, just to scare it (a heart attack is much better than well…) I’m saying sorry early, letting out a shrill cry and swooping down, fangs bare. I’m sorry...

I am reading the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolken. Bilbo is the main character and the villan is Smaug the evil dragon, who has stolen a majestc mountain and the dwarves' gold.
Smaug: I lay upon the many golden cups and jewels of the dwarves. I had enjoyed the last 50 years, but cave life was getting boring. It was time for me to go on a hunt. I leaped out the pile of gold and launched my self into the sky. I flamed a tounge of icy white fire into the blackness of night. "hmm" I thought to myself, "maybe a dwarf tonight, or perhaps even a hobbit, those delicious morsels." I swooped down to survvey the area. "Aha!" there are a group of young dwarves... rather chewwy but they'll do for tonight's hunt. With a "RAAAWWRRR!!!!!" i swept down upon them sending them scattering. But not fast enough! I scooped up a few in my mouth and chews them. "OH how they scream!!!" I thought with relish and launched myself back into the inky blackness.

I am reading Incarceron by Catherine Fisher. The villan in my book is basically an alive prison. Everyone at one point tries to escape, but eventually give up. Finn claims to be from the outside world, thrown into this prison. In this book, Finn continuously tries to escape, without giving up. The Incarceron prison continuously tries to stop Finn, even knowing he wont give up.
Incarcerons Perspective: Every day, I'm fed. Constantly, prisoners keep getting thrown in. All I want is company. Is it too harsh for them here? I wouldn't know. Why do they all want to escape? Pondering my existence, I wonder how would I feel if I were to be thrown into... well, myself. I am a prison, a place no one wants to be. Though, most people stop trying after a while, theres this one kid who refuses to stop. Now, what was his name? Ah, Finn, thats it. He's a troublesome boy. After the Maestra cut freed him from his chains, he's been nothing but trouble. Refuses to give up, no matter what obstacles I put in front of him. What doesn't he understand? Theres no way out. Obstacle after obstacle, still no change in him. This kid really is making me mad, yet hes making me believe that there is an actual way out. But it would be very hard, and theres no way I'm letting him out. He just doesn't understand. Day after day, he keeps trying. I'm doing my best at stopping him, though, I'd have to be very patient.

I am reading Fang by James Patterson.
In this book, Angel is un-popular with the main character Max. Even though Angel and Max are like sisters, Angel is making decisions for the Flock (the group that Max and Angel are in, Max is the leader of the Flock normally) that Max should be making. Angel is trying to kick Max out of the Flock by saying that she is getting side-tracked by Fang because Max is to in love with him to run the Flock properly.
Paragraph from Angel’s point of view:
I can’t believe that Max is making us do this stupid online home-schooling stuff! Like we've always just learned from T.V. now she’s MAKING us to this! All she wants to do is spend more time with Fang, I’d bet she would love to run away right now with him and abandon us. That’s obviously why I’m trying to be the leader of this Flock because I know her decisions will be influenced by Fang, and one day she’ll run off with him. And I know I’m never wrong about predicting the future (I am a mind reader after all) but the thing I made up about Fang, when I said that he would be the first to die, I made that up because I wanted to see if Max could live without him, but that just made her spend more time with him. I’m done with all this Max and Fang stuff; it’s time for me to take control of this Flock.

This week I am reading The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket. A bad guy in this book is Count Olaf who were the new guardian of the Baudelaire Orphans.
Count Olaf's Perspective:
I walked into my house, "Orphans, where are you orphans?" I said. I headed towards the kitchen where the wealthy orphans were finishing dinner. They claimed there were making puttanesca sauce. How could they have made that and not roast beef? I was infuriated at their stupidity. They claimed they they didn't make the roast beef because I hadn't instructed them so. I, as their new father, should not be doubted and talked back to. All three of the orphans were retorting back to me when the disgusting little baby who would bite anything she could reach yelled "No! No! No!" I grabbed her and brought her up to my face. The little whiner started crying immediately. If it were not for the fact that my theatre troop had arrived, I would not have put her down so easily. They had better not screw up this dinner for me or else they would never live a pleasant day with me until I find a way to steal their family fortune.

I am currently reading Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. P.O.V. of President Snow: Katniss Everdeen, ever since her little trick at the end of the Hunger Games I have despised her. Not only did she humiliate me in her first visit at the games but her little stunt on busting out in the 75th games, Quarter Quell, made it seem like I had no control over anything. What she doesn't know is the joke is on her... the people must know that I have complete hold on everything so if she wants to start a rebellion all I must do is over power her. This won't be hard at all, I have the military on my side and the districts will bow down to me or they lose their supplies needed to survive. She thinks she’s queen but a king rules over queens. Tomorrow I will go on live broadcast and let all the people know who is really in charge. So you better watch out Ms. Everdeen, keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

JasunC6- Catching Fire is my favorite out of the whole series! Nice paragraph!

I am reading Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick. The main character is Nora Grey and the "villain" is named Dante. He is trying to kill Nora so he can be the leader of the Nephilim Army. I am going to write a paragraph of Dante's perspective of the fight that determines who is the ruler of the army.

I have been waiting for this moment for months. Nora is no match for me, she will be dead in a few minutes. I will become the leader of all Nephilim, just to lead their army into the hands of the fallen angels. There she is, walking slowly around the hill towards me. I am holding the sword I had made with devilcraft, the sword that will end her life. She's holding a sword too, but it's not made with devilcraft. It can't kill me. She lunged toward me, but I easily blocked her swing. I'm stronger than her, she won't be able to fight back for long. She lunged again and nicked my thigh. I growled and flew at her, my sword ready. I will end her life. Right here. Right now.

KaylaN5: That seems like a really good book! Great blog.

I am reading the book Secret Santa vy Sabrina James. I have chosen to write from the perspective of Jake, who isn't the villain, but isn't very well liked by his school. He is considered the "bad boy" and doesn't have many friends. This book is about a confusing secret santa program at a high school.

I wonder who my secret santa is. Probably that annoying Celia girl who follows me around. Why? Why would she be my secret santa? Of course, it has to be her. She doesn't understand me. I just don't like spending time on my school work, I just want to ride my motorcycle. I feel free. Celia doesn't understand that, at all. Maybe if she can accept me, I can accept her.

I am currently reading Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. I chose to write a paragraph in president Snow's perspective because he is the closest to a villan that there is in this book.

As I look around I see nothing but ashes. Houses destroyed, and districts bombed. This all happened due to the rebellion of Katniss Everdeen! She did not obey my laws and did not follow my commands. Hopefully she gets killed in the Quater Quell along with Peeta Mellmark. As I think of her, I sent people to deliver a white rose to her from me. She will understand what it means once she recieves it....
Later....
As the Quater Quell began to fall apart, we took Peeta. As soon as I found out Katniss had escaped I became furious! Now everytime she says something about my Capitol Peeta will be harmed. This is my method to stop her outrageous rebellion againt my commands.

Book: Pride and Prejudice

Author: Jane Austen

Mr. Darcy’s Perspective:

“Come, Darcy,” said Mr. Bingley, my rather close acquaintance, out of breath and grinning as if he were the happiest man in the world, “I must have you dance. I hate to see you standing about by yourself in this stupid manner. You have much better dance.” I’m currently at a community ball in the town of Meryton where Mr. Bingley, his sisters, and I are staying at the manor Netherfield Park.
“I certainly shall not. You know how I detest it, unless I am particularly acquainted with my partner. At such an assembly as this it would be insupportable. Your sisters are engaged, and there is not another woman in the room whom it would not be a punishment to me to stand up with.” I tell him, for I shall not dance with women who were social inferior. Though I truly feel, but never admit, that I find this situation unpleasant for I am not a man good at associating with others.
“I would not be so fastidious as you are” cried Mr. Bingley, he reminded me of mother chiding her child, “for a kingdom! Upon my honour, I never met with so many pleasant girls in my life as I have this evening; and there are several them you see uncommonly pretty.”
“You are dancing with the only handsome girl in the room.” I said, looking at the eldest Miss. Bennett.
“Oh! She is the most beautiful creature I ever beheld! But there is one of her sisters sitting down just behind you, who is very pretty, and I dare say very agreeable. Do let me ask my partner to introduce you.”
“Which do you mean?” I turned around to look for a moment at whom I believe was Elizabeth Bennett, till catching her eye, I withdrew my own and said: “She's tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt me, I am in no humour at present to give consequence to young ladies who are slighted by other men. You had a better return to your partner and enjoy her smiles, for you are wasting your time with me.” Though I might say her eyes were not close to tolerable but exquisite. With that thought, I walked away expecting him to return to his partner and for me to have a tedious night.

AMeling5: I have the first book of that series; is it good?

I am reading Matched by Allie Condie and this is Ky's perspective.
I don't understand why no one can see that I am in love with her. I don't care if everyone in the world says that Xander is her Match. I want to be with her, I have to be with her. No one knows what I have been trhough or what I have seen. Who is society to say that I cannot be with her? We belong together. Let us be together.

Aberryman5: Great post! I have that book but I haven't read it.

My book is If I Stay by Gayle Forman. The character I'm choosing is Adam. Adam is Mia's boyfriend. I'm doing it during the part where Mia has her accident and is in the ICU.

It's been a while since she texted me. I don't know if she's mad or something. She's probably been practicing the cello. Did i do somehing wrong? Either way I'm worried, it's been a day and she hasn't called or texted me in a day. She's supposed to meet me tonight maybe that'll clear up things.

@KaylaN5: I've heard that's a good book. Good paragraph.

I am reading The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien. One of the most unpopular characters is Gollum. This is his perspective on something that happened a long while ago, when Bilbo Baggins, Frodo's Uncle, steals the ring from him.

Gollum's Perspective: He thinks he can beat me at riddles. No one can ever beat me at riddles. Isn't that right, precious. Oh, my precious, don't you worry, you won't be taken away by this fat Hobbit. "Time,Time!" the Hobbit says. What? How did he get that right, my precious? "Now you must ask me a riddle." "OK" says the Hobbit. "What is in my pocket?" What? This is a stupid riddle. Don't you think so, my precious? "Unfair!" I say. "You have to guess," says the Hobbit. "Handses" I say. "Nope says the Hobbit. "A knife" I say. Incorrect" says the Hobbit. One more guess. I'll have to make this one count. "Nothing!" I say. Incorrect" says the hobbit. "Now give me the ring." Should I give it to him, my precious? Should I? "No!" The hobbit grabs my ring and puts it on turning himself invisible and leaving me hopeless. "My birthday present! I got it on my birthday! Give it back!" I scream. But he is no where to be found. "PRECIOUS!!!!!!!!"
