I am reading Legend by Marie Lu.

One of the main characters is June. She works in the Republic to track down the Republic's most wanted criminal, Day. She is extremely observant and skilled at fighting.

1) One thing June might 'like' is the FBI. This is because she works as one of the best agents in this book and, if she were real, would probably go into the FBI for a job.
2) She might also 'like' boxing. I believe that she would do this as a sport since she is incredibly good at fighting.
3)June would also like the show CSI because she is good at investigating crime scenes herself and she might learn or be entertained by this show.
4)The Hunger Games is a movie I think June would enjoy because it is dystopian (like her country) and, like CSI, she could learn things about her own country and her Elector that she might not have realized before.
5)She could also like advanced weaponry because she uses alot of advanced weapons in fights and she might find it useful to have weapons more advanced than her enemy.

I am reading the Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. My main character is Christine Daae, a very talented singer at the Paris Opera House and whom the "ghost" of the Opera, known as the Phantom, Erik, has fallen in love with. However, Christine is being courted by her childhood friend Monsieur Raoul de Chagny. If Christine were on a social media website I think 5 things she might like would be: American Idol, The Phillips Performing Arts Center, hymn books, festivals, and Hollywood.
American Idol: Christine would like American Idol because of the varieties of songs and singing they preform. Also she would like it, because she enjoys singing in front of crowds, and that's exactly what American Idol is, just on national television.
The Phillips Performing Arts Center:
Christine would enjoy this because of all the acting, dancing, and singing that takes place in the novel. The Arts Center hosts an abundance of different talents including music, dancing, and holds important meetings there.
Hymn Books: Christine would like hymn books because of the numerous amount of songs that a hymn book holds. In the book, Christine is portrayed as a lover of music, and since singing is her specialty, it would make sense she would be drawn to these. As for religion, briefly in a paragraph, it hints that the people in the books do have a religion.
Festivals: Christine would enjoy festivals because they are similar to the Masquerade held in the Opera House. In a festival and Masquerade, their a lot of people gathered to experience or witness an important occasion. Their is a lot of entertainment and culture held in each event. And usually they are enjoyable or provide a sense of happiness like the Masquerade did to the audience in the book.
Hollywood: Christine would like Hollywood because of all the glamour and fame it brings. She was recently brought into the limelight, due to Erik's love for her and since he works through the manager to work the Opera, since he is a musical genius. Christine is know widely known within and outside the Opera as being a wonderful singer, just like stars in Hollywood are known for their talent and fortune.

I am currently reading New Moon by Stephanie Meyer. The main character, Bella, was starting to fall in love with Edward Cullen who is a vampire. He left town with his family and Bella was left alone with friends who weren't her type and her dad that is a little awkward. She finds it safe being with her werewolf buddy Jacob but tries to put herself into dangerous situations. If she had a Facebook, Bella would like:
1. Cooking because she makes dinner for her dad almost every night.
2. Ballet because she used to dance when she was a kid.
3. Phoenix Suns because she is from Arizona.
4. The Vampire Diaries because she was a part of a family of vampires for a year.
5. Adrenaline because Edward appears and tells her stop.
Khouse5: I really want to read that book. It sounds really good! You say she would like The Hunger Games so I know I will like it.

I am currently reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

The main character of this book is a shepherd boy named Santiago. Santiago is an ambitious person who seeks the meaning of living, as well as a treasure that he had dreamed of. Santiago is also very adventurous, and maybe a bit naive.

1) I think Santiago might "like" the Humane Society since he is a gentle character who loves and respects nature, (especially his flock of sheep). He even says at one point that the sheep are like friends to him.

2) I think that he would also enjoy the rumored movie in production, "The Alchemist", for obvious reasons.

3) I also believe that Santiago would "like" Rosetta Stone, since he encounters many foreign languages such as Arabic in his travels, and has no way to communicate with the citizens around him, (until he learns enough of the language on his own, that is).

4) He would also "like" GPS technology, such as a GPS app, so that he can be guided through Africa and eventually reach Egypt.

5) Lastly, I think Santiago would enjoy jogging or running as a hobby, considering it would give him time to daydream, observe his surroundings, and simply live in the moment. This truly defines his character.

ABerryman5,

I really liked ho you used modern examples for such a classic novel.

I am reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. One main character in my book is a handsome, young gentleman by the name of Dorian Gray. Dorian sits for an artist who is also his closest friend. He believes the latest painting of him is aging instead of him because of a wish he once made.
1. He would like art, especially portraits made by famous artists such as Van Gogh because he can relate to them.
2. Dorian would like Shakespeare because he was once in love with an actress that played in Shakespeare plays.
3. He would also like the movie Mean Girls because he loves drama which Mean Girls has a lot of.
4. Dorian would like classical music because he deeply respects fine music.
5. Finally, Dorian would like skin care products because he is obsessed with his youth and looking his best.

Khouse5: That sounds like a book that I would read.

I’m reading The Fellowship of the Ring by J. R. R. Tolkien. The main character Frodo Baggins is a gentle hobbit who finds himself faced with the immense task of destroying the Ring, which his elderly cousin Bilbo Baggins entrusted him with, and foil the Dark Lords evil plot. Frodo is a bit adventurous after hearing of Bilbo’s adventures, but still is naïve at the same time.
1. I think that Frodo would like an atlas. He loves adventures and traveling so having a book full of maps would make his day.
2. I think that Frodo would also like the movie series of “The Lord of the Rings” because it’s a showing of his adventures around Middle-earth.
3. I think that Frodo would like the Myths of our world because he takes an interest in things like elves.
4. I think that Frodo would like the music that we have like classical and even possible rock because he’s always had a love for music.
5. I think that Frodo would also like a GPS because it would make traveling a lot easier for him.

I just finished reading This World We Live In (Life As We Knew It Series, Book 3) by Susan Beth Pfeffer. One of the main characters, Miranda, is a teenage girl who has helped her family survive through a tough winter, disease, death, and hunger.

1)Wal-Mart. Miranda would like this because it is filled with everything her family would need to survive.
2)Publix. This building full of food would help to keep Miranda and her family alive with all of its food.
3)Kelty Camping Equipment. This is because the high quality sleeping bags would keep them warm and comfortable during the freezes.
4)Office Depot. It is filled with pencils, paper, and pens that she could use to write in her diaries.
5)Any figure skating brands (I couldn't find any). Before the asteroid hit the moon and messed everything up, Miranda loved figure skating.

I am reading Moby-Dick by Herman Melville.
The story's main character is Ishmael. He likes to explore the world. That's why Ishmael joined captain Ahab's ship to kill Moby-Dick.
1)Ishmael might "like" travelling for his hobby. Ishmael wants to explore the world and see the difference between his country and the other countries.
2)Ishmael would also "like" art for his interest. Ishmael has strong mind to see arts, and he likes to see artists.
3)Ishmael would also "like" whale hunting because he is in one of the whale hunting ships, and that is what his crews do in their boat.
4)Ishmael might "like" Native American Indian for his interests. He has a friend name Queequeg, who is a Native American Indian, and he is a great whale hunter in his crew
5)Finally, he could "like" Friendship because he cares about his crew and his friend Queequeg a lot. For example, he tries to save Queenqueg's tomb when Ishmael was in trouble.

OCallen6- I think Santiago would like those too!

I am reading The Catcher In The Rye by J.D. Salinger.

The main character is sixteen year old Holden Caulfield. Holden has just been expelled from his school, Pencey Prep for academic failure. Even though Holden is smart, and sensitive, he is also very cynical and indifferent about the world around him. He finds the world to be full of hypocrites and unbearable; however Holden's criticism is directed at all others, as well as himself.

Holden would most likely "like":
1. The American Cancer Society page, because his little brother, Allie died of leukemia, and Holden was very close to him.
2. Baseball Teams. Holden is very fond of baseball, especially because his younger brother Allie used to play baseball, and would write poems on his own baseball mitt.
3. He would also like the major alcohol companies because one of Holden's hobbies is drinking. Unfortunately we see that it's one of his interests quite often in the book.
4. Holden would like Central Park, and other popular gardens, and National Parks because he is very into wildlife, and animals, especially ducks, such as those at Central Park.
5. A movie Holden would enjoy is The Hunger Games because he is into love, violence.

The book I am currently reading is Mythology by Edith Hamilton. This book does not have a main character but has many characters being the various Greek gods and goddesses. One of the gods the book talks about is Zeus.

Zeus would most likely "like"
1)Percy Jackson and the Olympians of the Lightning Thief (film). I think he would like this because the movie involves him and Zeus seems very self centered so he would enjoy watching a movie with him in it.
2)Women, because we all know that Zeus was known as a womanizer.
3)The Dubai Mall, because Zeus is always extravagant with everything so the Dubai Mall would be perfect since it is the largest mall in the world.
4)Another page that he would "like" would probably be lightning bolts because in Mythology, it is said that he loved his lightning bolt so much that sometimes he would just hapharzardly strike at the Earth just because he felt like it.
5)Lastly, he would "like" would be Hera's public figure page. He did flirt with many other women but he still in the end went back to Hera every time so we can conclude that he still loved Hera most.

MalloryD6: I was looking through what other people put and when you said that you're character would like major alchohol companies caught my eye and I was shocked to think that the younger society today has become like that.

I am reading Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell.

The main character in this classic novel is Karana. She was daughter of the the Chief of Ghalas-at and had one brother named Ramo. Karana has long dark hair and is very curious and puts others before her.

One thing Karana might like is Lost the t.v show, because it takes place on a remote island and she might have the same thaughts as the actors/actresses on how to survive.
Karana lives with a tribe and is a gathers up vegetables and other sources of food to prepare for the tribe; so I think she might like to garden or be a chef.

ABerryman5: My grandparents went to see that play a couple years ago, is it any good?

I'm currently reading The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien. One of the main characters, Bilbo, is a average hobbit who doesn't care for anything out of the ordinary or extreme. If Bilbo were on a social media website, I think he would 'like':
1. 'The Hobbit:An Unexpected Journey'(film) because it's about his travels through Middle-earth.
2. Gardening because this is one of Bilbo's favorite interests before he embarks on his journey.
3. Cooking, since it is one thing hobbits are known for and Bilbo does frequently when living in the Shire.
4. Writing because you find out that Bilbo has been keeping a book of his travels across Middle-earth.
5. Fireworks since Bilbo enjoys a good firework show, especially the one's Gandalf puts on.

KPhillip5: All of those definitely make sense for Frodo. I've seen all the movies, but are the books any good?

I am reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain.

Huck Finn is one of the main characters in this book. He lives with his alchoholic dad in a cabin across the river from the town. Although he wasn't treated very well by his father, Huck had the Widow and Judge Thatcher who would take care of him.

1) One thing that Huck might like is Smoke Pipes because Huck would smoke a lot throughout the book.
2) Huck would also like 103.7 FM because Huck appears to be a Southerner and I think that he would like country music.
3)He would like fishing because in the story, Huck and Finn fish catfish and other fishes to survive on the island.
4)He would like the abolitionist page because he and an escaped slave, Jim, are living together on the island.
5)Huck would like CSI because in this story, Huck fakes his own death and then runs away to the island.

ENunn5: Good job coming up with the likes for your character.

1. Todd would like any dog home because his best friend was a dog.

2. He would also like horseback riding as after his dog dies to save Todd he gets a new horse that he falls in love with.

3. 'The Farmer' commercial from the super bowl because he was a farmer as a kid and loves that life style.

4. Todd would also like a don't kill page because no matter how bad he wants too he can't kill a human.

5. Finally I think he would like an alien page as his family id from another planet but where he lives is where they flew too and they found spackle there.

I am reading Lemonade Mouth by Mark Peter Hughes.

One of the main characters in this book is Charlie, a freshman in high school who has just recently lost his twin brother. These are the types of things I think Charlie would "like":

1.) A fancy drum set from Casey Drums because Charlie is obsessed with playing the drums and is really good at them.

2.) A picture of Mo Banerjee, (another main character) because Charlie really likes her, even if she probably only likes him as a friend.

3.) Charlie would probably like the band Green Day because Charlie is really into punk-rock music.

4.)I think that Charlie would like a picture of him and his twin. It's very obvious that Charlie wishes that his twin was still alive, and I think that just by seeing a picture of the two of them would really make him feel a little bit better.

5.) I think that Charlie would like to watch the movie, Lemonade Mouth, because its obviously based off this book. :)

I am currently reading Animal Farm by George Orwell. The main character in my book would be the pig, Snowball. She is the leader of the Animal Farm and tells all the other animals what to do. She still is very sweet and kind as well.
1) One thing Snowball might like is the movie, “Zookeeper”. She would like this because animals run the zoo as does Snowball and her farm.
2) She might also like partying. She would like this because her and the rest of the animals love to have a good time and party. After they got rid of their foul owner they partied all night long.
3) Snowball would like food as well because she runs a farm and everyone needs to eat, especially the pigs.
4) Snowball would like the page sharpie too. She would like this because some of the animals have learned to read and write and sharpies are great supplies to write with.
5) Lastly, Snowball would like travelling as one of the pages because they all want to have a time to just travel from place to place now that they are free from their owner. She wants to experience a life of courage.

2) Kelley would next like Shakespear. She is an actor and plays many Shakespear main characters.
3) Kelley would also like New York City. She loves New York City and lives there as an actor.
4) Kelley might also like the Wild Hunt. She would only do this to keep track of there wherabouts because they are dangerous and she hates them.

I am reading the Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch. The main character, Stephen Quinn roams what is left of America, looking for things to trade to survive. He has had his grandfather and mother die, and only has his dad left. If he was on a social media website, he would like the Lord of the Rings, because that is his favorite book, and only book. He would like the Marine Corps because his grandfather was a part of them, and without the skill set that he learned there, they might not have survived. He would also like Six Flags Great Adventure because it is where he took the only picture that has his family, when he was about 8. He would like Settler's Landing, because that is where he was taken in, along with his father. He would also like the books: Sounder, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Great Expectations, because they were books that he read with his parents when he was younger, and are some of his favorite memories.

The book I am reading is Mara Daughter of the Nile by Elouise McGraw. One of the main characters is Mara she is a slave who soon ends up being a double slave for an assistant of the queen and a spy for a rebellion that plots to overthrow the queen.
1~ One thing Mara might like is an entrepreneurship page because Mara frequently visits the market trying to make a quick deal.

2~ Another thing Mara might like is Egypt or a traveling page because she's constantly changing places.

3~ A 3rd thing Mara would like is any book on Egyptian kings and queens when she is trying to find out what side to really play for. (Because she's spying for both sides.)

4~ A movie she might like is anything that has to do with spying (such as Quantum of Solace, Mission Impossible, and Bourne Identity) because she could always pick up a few pointers on how to keep her secret hidden.

5~ The last thing she might like is a page on acting because Mara has to constantly change her attitude towards things such as loving the queen or admiring the rebellion that might overthrow her.

@EmmaN5: those descriptions are spot on they really do fit Bella's persona.

Book: Artemis Fowl
Author: Eoin Colfer

The main character, Artemis is a teen genius. He has the imagination of a kid, and the mindset to exploit things of value, as an adult would. Artemis uses is intellect to trick government agencies, and even an advanced fairy civilization.

Artemis' Likes:
1)Gold: Time and time again, Artemis says how he loves gold, because it retains its value

2)Hacking: Hacking is one of Artemis' many skills, and a personal hobby

3)Artemis Fowl (Book): In the story, the counselor at Artemis' school asks Artemis who he looks up to. His answer is nobody but himself. He has hubris in an extreme case, and is very self-centered.

4)"The People": Although Artemis is often enemies with the Fairy People, he does have a deep level of respect for them and their technology.

5) Shakespeare: In the book, Artemis says that he loves challenging books, and the plays written by Shakespeare would defiantly be considered a challenging read in my opinion

@MDonelenko6: I've see that movie, but I never knew there was a book. I think that looks like a good book to read.

I am currently reading The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The main character in the book is Mary Lennox. Mary becomes in orphan after cholera sweeps through India and kills her parents. 5 things she would like are:
1). Mary would like a page about gardening because she falls in love with a secret garden throughout the book.

2). She also would like anything regarding India because that was where she was raised until age 10.

3). Also, Mary may like anything regarding jumproping because all she has to occupy her is a skipping rope.

4). A page regarding animals Mary may like because she has a soft spot for all of them.

5). She would like a page on spine problems because her cousin Colin has them. Maybe she would be researching to see how to help him.

@MLangston5- I really should read Harry Potter. I never have been able to get into it, but maybe I should try again.

I am currently reading The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. The main character is Dantes. He is a sailor and is about to get married. He is unjustly arrested for crimes he did not commit.

2.) He would also like the "CIA" because he has to life a secret life if he wants to succeed in taking revenge.
3.) Another thing he would like is the T.V. show "Survival" because he has to learn to survive in hostile environments.
4.) I think he would also like an iPhone. It would have been a good tool to use for his escape from prison and would help him with getting revenge.
5.) Lastly I think he would also 'like' classical music since he is alive during the 1700s.

Katie Lapp, before recent events, was a conservative, religious, typical Amish girl. She discovered a dress in the attic with the name Katherine Mayfield embroidered on it. This leads to many mysteries as to why her mother fainted when Katie confronted her about this. If Katie were to have a Facebook page she would like guitar music, but in this setting listening or even thinking of modern music is a sin. Katie would not display her love for music in public. Katie is very passionate about religion, so she would probably like anything supporting her beliefs. She would also like any mysteries, as she is currently solving one of her own. Another passion of her’s is family or any close knit community such as the Amish society. Katie would like anything about weddings because she is engaged.

Also he would like a farmers page because he lives on a farm. He would also like a weaving page because his friend charlotte weaves her spider string. He would also like the county fair because he wins a ribbon there.

1) Renissans Fair. He would like this because he is Tookish and finds things from there most interesting. He fancys himself a good Hobbit, but he is still attracted to the armor and swords.
2) He would also like Shakespeare because his writings are old fashioned and would make sense to him.
3) He would also like gardening because he enjoys his garden especially in the morning.
4) He would also like Elf page, he met an Elf on his adventure with the trolls and would like the page to stay I'm touch with the Elf that he met.

I am currently reading Uglies by Scott Westerfield. The main character is Tally Youngblood, an ugly who ran away from the city to find the Smoke, a village in the wild.
1.)One thing that Tally would like is skateboarding. She learns how to hoverbaord and ends up loving it, and hoverbaording is a lot like skateboarding.
2.)Tally would also like a page about camping. She escapes from the city and lives in a village called the Smoke, which is in the middle of the woods.
3.)She would also probably like bungee jumping. After crashing a pretty party, Tally has to escape quickly by bungee jumping off of the roof of a large building.
4.)Tally would also like the TV show Punk'd. While she is still at the ugly dormitory, she and Shay enjoy pranking the younger uglies.
5.)She would also like a vegetarian page. When she finds out that people actually kill and eat animals in the Smoke, she is appalled. Soon, however, she learns to tolerate eating meat.

One of the main characters in the book The Judas Strain, by James Rollins, Commander Grayson Pierce, of the Sigma Force, is a Taoist with a cross around his neck. The Sigma Force is basically a group of scientists that are also ex-military, the best of the best, and Gray is one of the best within this fold. If he had a Facebook account, 5 of his “likes” would be 1. Shooting guns; he has to be familiar with guns in order to survive; 2. Saving his friends, who doesn’t?, 3. Solving mysteries; this provides a bit of a challenge for Gray, although normally the fate of the world rests in his ability to problem-solve, 4. Sigma; this is his place of work, but also the place where he makes his best friends, 5. Not dying. Here’s on where you’re like, “well duh, Aaron,” but this really is a major concern, after all, he’s survived thousands of attempts on his life, and lived through the Judas Strain, a disease that turns helpful bacteria inside of you hostile.

~~LJohnston5, that’s a good series, and I agree with your opinion on what Artemis would like.

I am currently reading The Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare. The main character, Tessa, is a Shadowhunter in training. She has to learn the history and fighting skills as the rest of the other people in the house so they can find her brother and the Magester, the bad guys. Tessa would like:
1: Her friends pages
2: Bios on fighting

5: The Clans page

I am reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.

One of the main characters in my book is Tom. Tom is a mischievous, extremely cunning boy who seems to be able to get whatever he wants out of people.

1) Tom would probably like a company that makes pranks, for it seems like his hunger for trouble can’t be filled.

2) Tom would also like anything sweet due to his apparent sweet tooth, but if he had to choose one sweet he would most likely like jam.

3) Tom would also like “hooky”, a game he was able to play for an entire afternoon and evening.

4) Tom would also like most romance movies after he found his first love, “Becky”

5) Tom would like white washing fences, as he was able to make profit from it as well

AVellis6:
I really like how you put lord of the rings as a book he would like, as the hobbit was the precedent for the series. Great Blog.

I just finished reading Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher.

One of the main characters is Clay. He is a high-schooler who is on a girl's tapes for reasons of her suicide. He is a much liked kid and really seemed to care about this girl; he couldn't believe she had put him on the tapes.

If he had a facebook book page these are a few things he might 'like':
1) Walking. In the book Clay walks a lot and listens to the tapes. He likes to be isolated and can do that with his walks.
2) Helping others. I think he would 'like' this because after knowing what his friend had gone through he would want to start making a difference in people's lives and helping them during tough times.
3) Hanging with friends. Although Clay didn't hang out with too many other kids during the book it was very clear that he was well liked and had a few choice friends that he preferred and had good times with.
4) I think a hobby/activity that Clay would list is going to the movie theater. At the movie theater is where he got a job with Hannah, the girl with the tapes, this place seemed very dear to him and he visited it often.
5) Another thing Clay would 'like' is poetry. At first he didn't think much of it but after listening to the young girl on the tapes and have her talk about her poems he started to become more interested.
