Post the author and title of your novel.

Choose THREE characters from your book.  Tell which actors/actresses you think should play those three characters.  You can be creative with your answers and choose ANYONE as long as you explain.

I am reading Fallen Leaves by Adeline Yen Mah. This is a true story based off the author living a lonely, unwanted life in China. Three characters in my book are Adeline, James, and Niang(Stepmother). The actress that I believe should play Adeline is Jennifer Lawrence from the Hunger Games. Throughout her childhood, Adeline has to somehow survive her difficult life in China, where women and girls are treated unfairly, otherwise known as social injustice against them. Jennifer Lawrence has to "survive" as Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games and overcome the difficulties and obstacles in her way, while Adeline has to fend for herself just to live, and hope not to get sold off by her family. Most of the women that are sold, don't usually live long or live excruciating lives of pain and agony. I think Skandar Keynes from Narnia should play James, Adeline's brother. In the beginning of Narnia, Edmund seems to have a bond with his sister Lucy Pensive and the rest of his siblings. But after he is tricked by the White Which, he unknowingly tries to get them all captured. Just like in Adeline's case, her and James have a deep bond, but when he sees her get into trouble for no reason or hurt by their stepbrother, he walks by and acts like nothing is happening, whether or not he feels sorry for her. This happened similar in Narnia, where Lucy claims that the wardrobe holds another world, and Edmund knows that, but doesn't speak up. I think Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna, from Snow White and the Huntsman should play Niang. Both their roles in the book and story are to cause pain and suffering for the main character, or make them unhappy. Both succeed at first. Both Niang and Queen Ravenna only care about themselves and don't care what will happen to others it affects. Both even trick men with their "influence" into falling in love with them. I believe these three actors would best fit these three characters from my novel very well in both background info and based off other movies they have preformed in.

I am reading Lemonade Mouth by Mark Peter Hughes.

Olivia: Emma Roberts would make a good actress for main character, Olivia because it seems like Emma has the shy, cutesy girl, like Olivia. Emma Watson also comes across as genuine, and very down to earth, much like Olivia.

Wen/Wendell: Sterling Knight. Sterling would make a good Wen because he is very boyish, yet also kind-of serious, like how I picture Wen to be. They both have blond hair, and although Wen has glasses, he also wears contacts, like Sterling Knight does.

Charlie: The actor, Blake Michael would be the best to play main character Charlie. Blake, like Charlie has longish brown hair, and does play the drums in real life.

ABerryman5: All your celebrities seem like they would mesh well together, and I would be very interested to see them come together in a movie.

I've seen the Disney version of that movie. Those are also great actors that would fit your book's character descriptions. Great ties between the characters and the actors.

I am reading Prodigy by Marie Lu.
One character in this book is June. I think Jennifer Lawrence (Katniss) should play June because June is very similar to Katniss (tough, good at fighting, caring, and against her dystopian home).
Another character in this book is Kaede. I think Kristen Stewart (Bella in Twilight) should play Kaede because, like Bella, Kaede is loyal and also a bit rebellious. So, I think Kristen Stewart would fit the personality of Kaede.
One last character is Tess. I think Willow Shields (Primrose Everdeen) should play Tess because she does a really good job playing Primrose (in my opinion). Like Primrose, Tess is also dependent on someone (even though Tess gets more independent later). She is also small, like Tess. Overall I think Willow Shields would be a very good Tess.

I just finished Battle Heroes: voices from Afghanistan by Allan Zullo. This Book Actually Gives real peoples stories of war.

Sergeant First Class Brendan O'Connor: Michael O'Neill is an actor from several movies and could play this old character who is real. O'Connor is at least 45 and soon to be retired and Michael O'Neill i believe is in his fifties. O'Neill could easily play the role of a hard notch sergeant.

Staff sergeant jason Fetty: Josh Duhamel is at least 30-40 years old and could play the part of a soldier trained to protect and serve. He has played many roles a a military leader or character.

Major John Oh: Karl Urban from the star trek series could play Major John Oh because he has played parts as medics and high ranking soldiers. John was a medevac for the military and has seen action before.

ABerryman5: Nice pick of actors

I am reading The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.
Dorian Gray, the main character would be played by Ashton Kutcher because they are both attractive and boyish. Ashton Kutcher could also pull off playing a selfish and slightly arrogant person.

Lord Henry who was Dorian's closest friend would be played by Robert Downey Jr. (Sherlock Holmes) As Sherlock Holmes he was very clever and somewhat devious which is exactly how Lord Henry acts.

Sibyl Vane, a young actress who was in love with Dorian would be played by Anne Hathaway (Les Miserables) because she has an innocent look just like Sibyl.

ABerryman5: Good choice of actors! It sounds like it would be a great movie!

I am reading Slaughter-House-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. It is about a veteran who was in WWII bombing of Dresden. His name is Billy Pilgrim and a person that who play his role well would be Jack Nicholson. Nicholson is really good at playing crazy people like in One Who Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Billy Pilgrim is rather strange. Kurt Vonnegut is the author but he is also a character. He was taken prisoner with Billy Pilgrim during the firebombing of Dresden. An actor that would do his character justice would be Morgan Freeman because Vonnegut narrates much of the novel and Morgan Freeman is an amazing narrator. Ronald weary was also taken prisoner. He is kind of silly and ignorant so a person who should play young Ronald Weary should be Ryan Reynolds. Reynolds is really good at playing a person who shouldn't be in the situation that they are in and he would look good as a soldier.

DOMalley6: Josh Duhamel is a very good choice for that character.

I am reading Merlin's Dragon by T.A. Barron, a book where the first 50 pages involved nothing more than the adventures and history of a tiny un-hatched green dragon egg. Quick summary is that the last dragon in Fincayra died but had a bunch of eggs just before, and most of the eggs, except for 2, are destroyed. One other dragon hatches and again there is one last dragon in the realm, and that goes on for many years. Apparently though the more magic something has inside of it, the longer it takes to grow, and it took 20 years for the main character dragon to get about 30 centimeters long. That means that when he's full grown, he's going to be massive, massive compared to other massive dragons. So I would let Laim Neeson play Merlin, because he is used to playing old wise people who know what they're doing, like Merlin the wizard. I'd have Will Smith play the main character, Basil the dragon, because he is very versatile or whatever and can play almost any part and is funny. For my last character, Ailah, who is a 'Wind Sister' and is part of the wind but can communicate to animals and people, she is very fleeting and drifty. I think Kate Blanchett should play her, cause she fits the role of a free spirit. (actually I don't really know who she is but I couldn't think of any other actors)

MallorD6: Why does your book have that title? Seems pretty weird but cool.

ABerryman5: Your book sounds very exciting, but also complex. Interesting.

Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness.

I would put my grandpa as Wilf because he is an old farmer who no one listens to but is usually right.

I would put Jennifer Lawrence as Viola because just like "Katniss" did in the Hunger games she has to survive with Todd though unknown territories with different people trying to kill them.

I would have Braden(my little neighbor) be Todd because he thinks he knows so much but he really doesn't.

I have recently started reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Jay Gatsby- I think that Zac Efron (17 Again) should play Gatsby because he is described as a confident character, and is also relatively young.

Daisy Buchanan- Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies) should play Daisy because she is described as a young and charming socialite. She's also blond.

Tom- Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers) should play Tom, Daisy's husband, because Tom is described as being a muscular young man that plays football. Seeing as Hemsworth played Thor in The Avengers, it probably would be easy for him to fit the role of an aggressive person like Tom.

Kaslanidi5,
I've heard that book is really good. Also, I really liked the actors/actresses you chose!

MalloryD6,
Didn't they make a TV show for that book? The name and story seems familiar.

I am reading Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. This book is about the harshness of slavery and all that was wrong with it. Three characters in my book so far are Aunt Chloe, Uncle Tom, and Mr. Shelby (their master). Morgan Freeman would play Uncle Tom because Morgan Freeman sounds just like the way I think Uncle Tom would, and kind of looks like the way I'd picture Uncle Tom. I think Aunt Chloe would be played by Pauline Stone Myrie, the lady who played Sanka's mom in Cool Runnings, because she is how I picture Aunt Chloe to look. I think that Mel Gibson would play Mr. Shelby, who is described as being "a gentleman and kind-hearted", which is a good character for Gibson to play.

This week I am reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain.

One character in the book is the Widow who had been taking care of Huck. An actress that I think should play the role of the Widow is Gwyneth Paltrow because she has played motherly roles and I think that that would be suitable for the Widow.

Another character in this book so far is Huck's dad. I think that the character of Huck's should be portrayed as Woody Harrelson. I think Woody Harrelson should play this role because he played Haymitch in Hunger Games who's an alchoholic and Huck's dad is an alchoholic as well and Haymitch and Huck's dad are also alike in some ways.

Another character in this novel is Tom Sawyer. An actor that I think should play Tom Sawyer is Dylan Sprouse. I think so because Tom Sawyer is a trouble maker and he tends to go around messing with people and Dylan Sprouse played the role of Zack in Zack and Cody who's a slacker in school and tends to cause trouble around the hotel.

I am currently reading Entice by Carrie Jones. If this book was made into a movie, the main character should be Emma Roberts because she seems so strong minded and as intelligent as Zara White, the main character. Nick, her “boyfriend” should be played by Max Irons because he is buff and when Nick is described he sounds like him. Astley, her pixie king, should be played by Alex Pettyfer because he’s blonde like Astley and Astley is a professional character and Alex Pettyfer seems fully capable of looking the part.

OCallen6: I want to read that book so badly!! Great actor/actresses you chose!

I am reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J. K. Rowling. The actors I would chose to represent my characters are quite obviously Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint for Harry, Hermionie and Ron. Despite the fact that they are used in the movie, there are also other reasons for me chosing these actors. For example, Rupert Grint makes an ideal Ron because he is a ginger :) and he obviously has a pretty spunky personality that is similar to Ron's. Emma Watson is a good Hermionie because she in real life, she is very smart and modest, just like Hermionie in the books. She also has curly brown hair like Hermionie. Daniel Radcliff, though he does not look exactly like Harry, has a loyal, friendly personality just like Harry. He will not leave his friends, even if it means sacrificing his own life.

JDeVoe6: Wow. It would be really cool to read that book since we are studying it both in Mrs. Cheshire and Mrs. Haro's classes

Book: The Great Gatsby
Author: F. Scott Fitzgerald

In the book there is this amazing car crash scene (*spoilers*) where a drunk person car wheel falls off but he continues to try to drive it. I believe if this movie were to be made into a movie, again, part should be played by Jim Carrey. I believe he can bring a hilarious unique version of this scene.
The person who should play Jay Gatsby should be Leonardo DiCarprio I believe this because he has lots of experience, playing Jay Gatsby in upcoming movie, and has this presence like Gatsby.
The person who I believe should play Jordan Baker should be Mila Kunis. I believe this because Baker is a manipulative liar, which Mila Kunis has plenty of experience playing.

OCallen6: Wow your choices are very interesting, you should check my suggestions for The Great Gatsby.

by Edith Hamilton.
One character gorgeous nymph who was seduced by Zeus. I think she would be played by Gemma Arterton because she looks very gullible, sweet, and pretty. Therefore, she would play Io well.

Another character is Poseidon, the God of the Sea. I believe he would be played by Sir Ian McKellen because I've always imagined Poseidon to have a old, but stern looking face like Sir Ian McKellen does. Also, in statues of Poseidon he has a beard and in some pictures of McKellen he has a beard just like Poseidon's statues.

The last character is Circe, who is the Goddess of Magic. She is meantioned when tho book talks about Odysseus. She is the one who seduces Odysseus and results in having him held captive for many years. I think she'd be played by Polly Walker because she looks very mysterious and Circe is known to be mysterious and indecisive.

DXi5: I saw commercials the other day on The Great Gatsby. You should let me know how the book is!

I am currently reading Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare. I think that Ann Hathaway should play Tessa Gray. She is a great actress and looks a lot like Tessa. She has brown hair and could probably act innocent like Tessa is. In Les Miserables Ann Hathaway acted with a lot of emotion so it would easy for her to act out how emotional Tessa is. Logan Lerman would be a good choice for Jem. He is a young actor and seems shy. He is around the same age as Jem as well. Daniel Radcliffe should play Will Herondale. They both have brown hair and blue eyes. Although Will is a lot younger than Daniel Radcliffe, in the book it describes Will as looking older than he is.

OCallen6: Interesting choice for Gatsby, but I agree with you.

I am reading Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell. This classic novel is a story about a tribe that have survived on a remote island in the middle of the ocean...well was remote. While Karana and her little brother, Ramo were gathering herbs for their families, they spotted a ship off in the distance, planning to deck at the island. The three characters I chose were Ramo, Karana, and Captain Orlov. The actress to play Karana would have to be Jennifer Lawrence from the Hunger Games series. Jennifer plays a mysterious girl who knows how to survive, is indepedent, and takes care of her family. Ramo on the other hand needs protection and doesn't know much, so I chose Jared Gilmore from Once Upon a Time. In the show, he doesn't know much about the outside world and depends on his mother's assistance. Now for Captain I chose Liam Neeson because he looks like a captain and takes control as an actor in his films.

MalloryD6: I love that movie, but I never knew they made a book about it!!

I am reading Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen.

Juli: Dakota Fanning would make a good actress for Juli Baker because she is about the same age as Juli. They are sophisticated and I think Dakota could really make this book come alive with her acting skills and personality.

Bryce: Josh Hutcherson would make a good actor for Bryce Loski because he has a shy side that would work perfectly in the movie. He is very serious, but playful and kind. His hair is the same color and Josh would definitely be able to play Bryce.

Shelly: Bailee Madison would make a good actress for Shelly because she fits the character. Shelly is determined to get what she wants. Bailee could work to be sassy and a "popular girl" in the movie I believe.

I am currently reading Darklight by Lesley Livingston. This is the sequel to Wondrous Strange. It is about a girl, Kelley, who finds out she is a Faerie Princess. I think that Jacqueline Emerson (Foxface in Hunger Games) would be able to play Kelley perfectly. Kelly is an eighteen year old redheaded Faerie. I think that Emerson would be able to play her because she is a redhead, and more importantly she played a role in Hunger Games. Anybody who played a character in the actual Hunger Games would be able to play an active character. I think that Sterling Beaumon would be able to play Sonny Flannery, a Janus changeling. He is buff and madly in love with Kelley. I think that Sterling could play Sonny because he played a character on the TV show Lost for 2 years. He also looks like Sonny was described. Lastly I think that Lana Parilla could play Mabh. Lana plays the Evil Queen on a TV show called Once Upon a Time. Mabh is Kelley’s mother and a very evil Faerie queen. I think if Lana can play the Evil Queen on OUAT then she can play Mabh.

The book I am reading is the Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain. The actor that should play Tom is Drake Bell. I think he could really play the part of Tom and capture the essence of what Tom acts like and does. The actor that should play Aunt Polly is Betty White. She would be good at playing the part of a strict Aunt who is raising a mischeivous boy. The actor that I think should play Becky Thatcher is Jennifer Lawrence. Becky is a pretty girl who is new in town to St. Petersberg and Tom likes here. I think Jennifer Lawrence could play that role really well.

JDevoe6: Those seem like really good characters to play that role.

I am reading Thwonk by Joan Bauer. Three characters in my book are A.J, Peter , and Jonathan, the cupid. The actress that should play A.J is Troian Bellisario. In the book, A.J is kind of shy, but has the rocker-chick thing going for her. With that, I think Troian would be perfect to play as A.J because Troian appears to be a shy, but pretty and chic, like how I imagine A.J. The actor that should play Peter is Patrick Johnson. In the book, Peter is SUPER popular, and every girl wants to date him, including A.J, who has a major crush on him! Patrick Johnson should play Peter because for one, Patrick is pretty good looking... :) Also, Patrick has pretty much the same features that Peter has in the book: blond hair and blue eyes. Lastly, the actor that should be the voice of Jonathan, (seeing as how he is cupid) is Freddy Douglas. In the book, Jonathan seems to be a mischievous/deceitful cupid, and I think Freddy Douglas would be perfect for the voice of someone that needs to sound deceitful, seeing as how he has played a mischievous character before, (Hermes in Odysseus).

I am reading Gathering Blue by Louis Lowry.

Kira: Madison McLaughlin would make a good actress for this main character. In the book, Kira is a smart girl who is courageous and outgoing, much like many of the characters Madison McLaughlin played.

Thomas: Thomas is a boy with no parents. His parents were killed in a storm. Thomas is a very good carver, and for that reason, I believe that Emilie Hirsch would be a good actor for Thomas, with his experience in survival movies.

Matt: Matt is a young boy who helps Kira and Thomas throughout this book. I feel like Owen Best would make a good actor for Matt since in many movies that Owen Best has played in, he has helped someone in some way.

In A Little Princess by Francis Hodgson Brunett three characters are Sarah Crew, Miss Minchin, and Becky. Sarah is the main character in this novel. The best actress to play her would be Bailee Madison because of her young age and determination. Sarah was spoiled, but did not have a spoiled personality she was determined to make her place in Miss Minchin’s school. Miss Minchin could be played by Dame Margaret Natalie who played Professor McGonagall in Harry Potter. From her past acting gigs, she has the ability to play the part of a strict woman in authority. Miss Minchin is supposedly a cold hearted headmistress. Becky is the scullery maid and becomes Sarah’s best friend. She could be played by China Anne McLain because Becky is African American and is also very humble and quiet.

I am reading The Fellowship of the Ring by J. R. R. Tolkien. The book has, as many know, been made into a movie already. I honestly can’t think of any other actors/actresses to play the role of the book’s unique characters so like in the movie I would have Elijah Wood play Frodo, Sean Astin as Samwise “Sam” Gamgee, and Ian McKellen as Gandalf the Grey. Wood would (and he was) the perfect actor for Frodo because not only did he have the look to play the role of the little hobbit but he also was a fan of the book. Astin as Sam just seemed right because he, like Wood, just fit the role. Also he became close friends with Wood, just like their characters in the book were. Finally I would have McKellen as Gandalf because he matched the description of that given in the book. Also he was dedicated and enjoyed playing the role to where he was willing to act in this movie and another one.

In my book the Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, three characters i will compare actors to are Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf, and Thorin. I think that Joe Pesci could play Bilbo because he is very small like Bilbo is and has brown curly hair. Also, Joe Pesci is very funny and has a good since of humor like Bilbo Baggins does. I think that Ian McKellen could play Gandalf because he played Gandalf in a movie and he is a older gentleman like Gandalf is. Also, Ian is a very wise and trustworthy man like Gandalf because of his involvement in writing and producing plays in his hometown performing arts center. And lastly, i feel Chris Hemsworth could play Thorin because in all of Chris's movies he is a leader and a fearless fighter like Thorin is. Thorin is the dwarf leader and is scared of nothing like Chris Hemsworth is in his movies. They both are also pretty buff.

D'Omalley: That sounds like a great book and good choice of actors.

Three characters from the book The Last Oracle, by James Rollins, are Monk Kokkallis, who has lost most of his memory, Grayson Pierce, an independent, a tough as nails commander, and Painter Crowe, the Native American director of SIGMA, of which Monk and Gray are a part of. Monk could be played by Robert Downey Jr, becuses they are both funny and smart, and if anyone could act like they lost their memory, its Downey Jr. Gray could be played by Roran, from the Eragon series, because Roran was a hard man, he killed many people, and also lived independently, yet had to be the leader, just like Gray. Painter Crowe could be played by Uncas, from The Last of the Mohicans, because Uncas looks exactly what I would picture Painter to look like, and because Painter tends to take things slowly and meticulously, using his brain. Unless, of course, one of his friends is in the line of fire.

I am finishing up the Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. This book is about a girl named Mary who, after becoming an orphan, goes to live with her uncle and his son. Three characters in my book are Mary, Colin, and Mr.Craven. I would pick a younger Emma Roberts to play Mary. I think that Emma has the honest and loving feel about her which Mary gains throughout the novel. Jae Head would be a great actor to play Colin, Mary's cousin who learns confidence and to become playful. Jae, who is well known for the role of SJ in the movie The Blind Side, is full of energy. He would have to be controlled of his energy in the beginning when Colin is stuck in bed. However, he could let it out more towards the middle of the book. Finally, I would pick Johnny Depp to play Mr.Craven, Mary's depressed uncle. Johnny Depp is very capable of playing the role of a very sad and reserved person, which Mr.Craven is.

@CNorton5- I love that book! And the title! I agree with your character choices.

I am reading Eragon by Christopher Paolini.

Three characters in my book are Eragon, Brom, and Jeod. I believe that the actor that should play Eragon is Daniel Radcliff. The reason for this is that Daniel has the "rough" look that I imagine Eragon to have in my head. Also, his acting in Harry Potter leads me to believe that he could play Eragon because he can pull off the type of personality that Eragon, as well as Harry Potter, has, as Harry Potter and Eragon seem to be extremely similar personality wise. I think that Liam Neeson should play Brom, because in his movies Taken and Unknown, he plays a knowledgable, strong, determined, and skilled character. In the book Eragon, that describes Brom exactly. Lastly, I think that Jeod should be played by Richard Harris, who stared as Dumbledore in the movie Harry Potter. I think this because Dumbledore is a very wise person, just as Jeod is, and Richard Harris is an extremely good actor for this type of character.

ABerryman5: That is a very long and thought out answer to the blog, and I agree with everything you stated. Great post!

I am currently reading 13 reasons why by Jay Asher. Three characters in the story are Clay Jensen, Hannah Baker, and Courtney Crismen. Clay Jensen is the main character of the book besides Hannah Baker. He is a very good person and always tries to search for the best in people. He is also shy and makes sure to keep a good reputation. I think the actor that should play Clay should be Zach Efron because he has the same features as Clay in the story, and he would be able to put in that emotion into the movie. The next character is Hanna Baker. In the story, Hannah Baker commits suicide and explains why in 7 tapes and has 13 reasons for it. Her personality is very sarcastic and you can tell she cares about what people think of her. I think the actress that should play her would be Jennifer Lawrence because she is younger, very sarcastic, has the same features, and could also put emotiom into the roll. The last character is Courtney Crismen. Courtney Crismen is someone who always tries to get on people's good sides for the sake of her reputation. She uses people to get what she wants and could be considered as the mean girl in the story. I think the actress that should play her is Hayden Panettiere because she has the same features, is young, and in many of her movies she is "the mean girl". So I believe her palying that character would fit into the story perfectly.
ABerryman5: I agree! I would have picked the same actor to play James.

I am currently reading Animal Farm by George Orwell.

Three characters in my book are Mr. Jones, Benjamin the donkey, and Major. Mr. Jones is a drunken farmer who doesn't really pay any attention to his animals and goes to bed every night by getting drunk while his wife is asleep. An actor that I believe would do a good job playing this role is Charlie Sheen. He has done many roles like this before and usually plays in funny movies and some parts in the book Mr. Jones is a bit funny and droopy because of the alcohol so Charlie Sheen would do a good job doing this role. The next character is Benjamin the donkey, one of the many talking animals in the story; he is the oldest animal on the farm and has a very short temper. Another actor that could play him in a movie is Willem Dafoe, the green goblin from Spider Man. He played a very mean, older man who was also known for his temper which seems to match Benjamin. Lastly, Major is the older, more wise animal that everyone looks up to on the farm. A good actor for him is Morgan Freeman. Morgan Freeman plays in many movies as a leader or authority figure. Major is basically the leader of the farm so I think Morgan Freeman would fit perfectly for this role.

MalloryD6- I have also seen the Disney version of that book, it was pretty good! Those characters seem like good matches to all of their personalities.

I am currently reading Pride and Predujudice by Jane Austin.

The first character is Mr. Bingley, I think that he would be well portrayed by Kellen Lutz. He is strong and thick headed like the character Kellen Lutz played in the twilight movies. He can play a full of himself, rich, stuck up snob who happens to have eyes for a pretty poor young maiden; Jane.

The next character is Jane Benet who would be well played by Anna Kendrick. Anna Kendrick can play a sure of herself woman who knows and understands her strengths and weaknesses.

My third character is Elisabeth Benet. She would be well played by Keira Knightly. She has a magical air about her which is perfect for Eliza. She is witty and musically inclined. She is a perfect fit for Elizabeth Benet.

ABerryman5: Is that a good book? I love the people you choose for your characters.

The book I'm reading is Mara Daughter of the Nile by Elouise McGraw. The characters I'm doing are Mara, Sheftu, and Thutmose III

1) Mara: For Mara I would probably cast Jennifer Lawrence. Mara is very independent and Jennifer Lawrence is usually the independent strong women role of the story. I think their personalities match as well.

2)Lord Sheftu: For lord Sheftu I would cast Zac Efron because because they are both thought of as attractive and Zac Efron acts in a lot of romantic movies. In the book Sheftu and Mara fall in love.

3) Thutmose III: Thutmose III is the prince. I think Channing Tatum would fit the role very well. He's very cunning and charismatic like the prince is.

@AVellis6: I think Kellan Lutz would play that part very well!! He does fit your description very accurately.

I am currently reading the book, Yellow Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. Three main in this book are Mattie (Matilda) Cook, Captain William Farnsworth Cook (Mattie's Grandfather), and Eliza who is a free black slave who works at Maltida's family's coffee shop. For the role of Eliza, I think Queen Latifah would be the perfect person for her because she has played many roles in movies being a free slave, and how difficult it was like Eliza’s going through. Another one of the main characters is William Cook and I think Dennis Quaid should play his role. In the movies he acts in he is usually the provider and the one to look up to such as William in the book. William has to take care of Matilda during this hard time. One last main character is Matilda and I think Peyton List should play her role because in her parts she isn’t independent she still depends the help of others such as Matilda needs so far in the book, so I think Peyton List is perfect for this role.
TaylorC6: I really agree with who you picked for Mr. Jones. That is a perfect match!

I just finished Fever by Laurie Anderson. I do not care for celebrities, so this will all be bad, but I think that her mother should be Cheryl Hines, because she matches the description of the frail, overworked mom. I think that Brian Cox should play the grandfather because he looks like the described old, but still alive grandfather. I think that Josh Hutchinson should play Nathaniel, because he looks like the boy who is in between a kid and getting a job.

MalloryD6:That is cool how both the character and the actor matches, maybe the author based the character off of them.
