My book is Entice by Carrie Jones and I just finished it, it’s SO amazing!
**SPOILER ALERT** One event in the book, is when Zara (main character) witnessed Nick (Zara's boyfriend, most important person in the world to Zara and soul mate) 's death and a servant of Odin (mystical god) takes Nick back to Valhalla (Odin's home, like heaven) to bring him back to life and keep him as a warrior for the Great War. The Great War will be in Maine when all mystic creatures and humans have a huge war called The End of the World. The only way Zara can go to Valhalla and bring Nick back is if she turns pixie. However, that would mean taking the risk of Nick never wanting to be with her again because Nick isn't 100% human and he hates pixies. Zara decides to turn pixie even though she's not positive Nick's even alive in Valhalla, but she can't stand losing him and decides he's worth herself being human. However, because of Zara's decision some of her family is turning her back on her because of what she is.
If I were in this situation I wouldn't turn pixie, because I wouldn't think that he is worth it. I would probably also move to a different part of the USA, somewhere other than the place when the war will break out.
My book is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins and I'm on page 119. (Don't read this if you haven't read Mockingjay yet, otherwise you'll be rather disappointed when I ruin this one part of the book and you'll miss out on the shock that everyone else got to experience in the actual book, in the actual words of the author instead of the amateur writer, like myself. Which it would be myself.)
A recent even in the story was a big shock to everyone taking part in the event. Peeta (who's madly in love with Katniss) has been captured by the Capitol and Katniss had been rescued by the Rebels and now resides in District 13 at the end of the 75th Hunger Games. Katniss had been living in unhappiness without Peeta for 7 weeks and finally a rescue team was put together to save him from the Capitol. When he got back (he was saved along with two others), Katniss ran straight to his Hospital bed because he'd been knocked out with a gas. Katniss shoved the door open to see Peeta and she opened his arms, and so did he. When they met he started to strangle her. Afterwards when she woke up in her own hospital bed because Peeta had knocked her out. If I were her when she woke up, I would be so upset and furious with him and probably go strangle him a little to get back at him! Then I'd demand to know why he did that, with his explanation and no one making excuses for his behavior.
I am reading the son of Neptune by Rick Riordan, I am on page 186. In my book Percy just attended a senate meeting at Camp Jupiter to discuses the quest that Mars, the war god, has demanded he go on. During this meeting Octavian, a influential camper accused Percy of being a trader and a spy for the giants. Percy managed to ignore his comment and continued discussing plans for the quest. If I had been in his place I would not have stood for such a remark. I would remind Octavian that I had just come to a safe haven after months of wandering fighting monster and now I was leaving again to try to save a camp I had only just arrived at. Percy seems to be able to stay calm in these type of situations which is good because he has only just arrived at camp and Octavian’s word has more meaning among the campers that his does, I may not have been able to though.
The book that I just finished is Glee: Foreign Exchange and it does not say who wrote it. One event that happened in the book was the deal between Quinn and the Cheerios against Rachel. Rachel had noticed that the three friends had been skipping classes and glee club so she threatened to tell Principal Figgins about their absence and the only way she wouldn't tell is if they went to the glee rehearsals. But Quinn knew Rachel's weaknesses and added a twist, Rachel was not allowed to talk to Finn for two weekes and they would be watching her very closely. If I was Rachel I wouldn't have agreed to the deal since Finn likes talking to Rachel and Rachel really likes Finn.
Bridget5~ I agree with your statement because Percy stands up for himself and stays calm during the whole meeting which must have been really hard since he probably would have wanted to strangle Octavian.
My book is the Lost Hero by Rick Riordan and i am on page 22.
One recent event was the boy named Jason did not know wher he was or who he was with. he had a girlfriend and he was in a camp for misfits. he was afraid. he noticed the sky changed from clear skies to a massive storm. also the coach was rambling on about now he has to protect another one of "you" people. but he stayed there. if i was in that situation i would have probably ran away to mexico and changed my name to pablo.
The book that I am currently reading is Pretty Little Liars: Unbelievable, by Sara Shepard. I am on page 215. A recent event in the book is where Hanna was run over by a car for "knowing too much." Apparently she knew who A was, so it is believed that A was the one behind the wheel. What the characters in the book did was call 911 and get Hanna into the hospital. Once she woke up from her coma, she forgot everything from the night of the accident. Spencer, Aria, and Emily prodded her with questions trying to provoke the memory, but nothing came of it. What I would of done was take Hanna to the therapist that Spencer had who hypnotized her into remebering the night of Ali's death. I would ask the therapist to hypnotize her into remembering who A was.
Lena, That book sounds really confusing, but the character's names are very interesting. I also would do what you would because it seems more reasonable.
The book I just finished is The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. The plot line of this story is very complex and confusing. The main point of the story is that the two main characters Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncreiff have made up pretend brothers to get out of events they don't want to go to. They are also both engaged. The most recent, and last, event that happens has to do with a side plot of how Mr. Worthing has no parents. He does know he was left in a bag in a train station. At the end of the book, Mr. Moncreiff's Aunt Augusta meets Mr. Worthing's assistant Miss Prism. Aunt Augusta (also known as Lady Bracknell) realizes that Miss Prism is the same person who lost her sisters son. This son turns out to be Mr. Worthing, making him Mr. Moncreiff's brother. If I were Mr. Worthing, finding this out would seem odd and almost terrible. Out of all things I probably would've least expected that to happen. It would be very hard to believe that, but in the end I would really just have trouble with the question of what would happen next.
Paige~ I haven't read Mockingjay, and probably won't, but read the first two books. That is really interesting and if I were reading it I'd immediately want to know why that happened.
I am reading The Outcasts by John Flanagan. Page 34. The event that sets the rest of the series is when the Skandians, pirates and mercenaries, rob a village and on their return to their ship they are attacked. Two of them sacrifice their lives to save the rest of the crew. One of them was Hal's father, Thorn, leaving Hal, the main character, an orphan. If I were in Thorn's position I would have fought because there is a chance of surviving then. Also if my fellow comrades meant a lot to me and if my sacrifice would save the rest of them I would sacrifice myself.
I am reading The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan and I am on page 455.
**Spoiler Alert** Recently in my book, the three main characters, Percy Jackson, Frank Zhang, and Hazel Levesque have to escape Frank's family mansion as Fire Cannon Throwing Ogres are trying to eat Frank. However the three have to escape but leave behind Frank's mansion and grandmother who would most likely die. They escape and the ogres unfortunately, burn the mansion down while the Three heros are in a plane to Alaska.
If I were in Frank's position, I honestly do not know if I could leave behind my family's mansion and there's no way I could've left my grandma. I would try to find some way to escape with my grandma before leaving.
Bridget the book gets really good at the end. Keep one reading it!
My book is Ruthless by Sara Shepard and I am on page 15.
(Will spoil book!!) There are some major things I would have done differently already in the book. Spencer (one of the four main characters) was caught with drugs. Kelsey (her friend) was also doing it with her. While she was being questioned by the police they were saying things that Kelsey had never said. Spencer is little Ms.GoodyTwoShoes and is afraid this will ruin her reputation. So she decided to call her friend Hanna (another one of the four main characters) to take the drugs she gave Hanna at a party and put them under Kelsey's pillow so the police would find them and blame Kelsey and let Spencer go. Hanna eventually decided to complete this task.
If I was Hanna I would have NEVER done this because I possibly could have gotten caught. Then I would also be in trouble too. Hanna already has a reputation of stealing items from stores so this would have been even more awful.
If I was Spencer I would not have asked my friend to do this. First of all it was SPENCER'S fault she had drugs. Second, this could have harmed the friendship between Hanna and Spencer. Spencer needed to take responsibility in her actions.
I'm reading the book Into the Wild by Sarah Beth Durst, I just finished it on page 260. Well this book was very strange it has a growing forest spreading through the town that Julie is responsible for. Her mother was born in "The Wild" and is trapped there again, Julie is faced with the decision wether or not she should go in to save her mother and grandmother, or wether she should flee the country for safety. This is a very hard decision for Julie in the case that she could die. Julie decides to go into the Wild. Me personally in this situation I would have fled the country. I would have done this knowing that my mother was from the Wild and she knew how to handle it and be able to save herself. Being in Julie's position I wouldn't have trusted myself because I have never been in the Wild and know nothing about it, so in that case her mother has more experience than she does, so instead of me dying and then my mom coming out I would flee then wait for my mother to come out and meet back up with her.
I just started reading Alibi Junior High by Greg Logsted and I am on page 30.

He saw that it was his new neighbor Andy, who had just come home from Iraq with no left arm. Andy said 'Cody, I'm impressed. I'm not sure if you're here or gone..... but if you can hear me, we should talk." outloud because he knew Cody was hiding somewhere in the woods. Cody saw him say this, but he stayed hidden and didn't reveal himself.
If that were me, first of all I would have freaked out and screamed and made a lot of scared noises after I heard the snaps and such, so Andy would have found me anyway, but if he didn't and I was hiding under the bush, I would have revealed myself and talked to him because Cody and Andy have alot in common and if Andy followed me out to the woods I would want to talk to him and ask him why and we would be able to relate with each other on being specially trained to always be on guard and stuff.

JMartinez- I've only read like one chapter of the first book, but I kind of know what it is all about, and that's really smart to take her to be hypnotized. I wouldn't have thought of that. I would be so freaked out if my friend was run over for knowing too much but she wasn't able to tell me what happened. That would really frustrate me!
I'm reading 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher and I'm on page 136. I'm currently on the story of Marcus Cooley, and he just stood Hannah up for their Valentines Day date! If I were Hannah Baker, I would hate Marcus for forever. At their school they have a fundraiser for the Cheerleaders and you fill out a paper on characteristics of people you like and they will find them and try to arrange your names so you can meet up. Well on marcus's list he got Hannah and they arranged to go out to Rosie's which was a little diner. But he is an awful person and stood hr up. First I think I would scream, then I would defiantly think of a way to get back at him which Hannah kind of did because she talks about him in her murder tapes. Earlier in the book Clay (the one currently listening to the tapes) talks with Marcus and he says "Hannah had no reason todo what she did to me, I don't deserve to be on the little tapes." so I'm waiting to see what his excuse is...it better be a good one.

My book is Eragon by Christopher Paolini and I am on page 362. In one event in the book, Eragon, the main character was locked up in a prison in Gil' ead, a big city. He was being mocked by a Shade, a black sorcerer, he was also being drugged by food to keep him from being able to use magic. When he finally got rid of the drug effect, he unlocked the cell by magic and got out right away. Soldiers saw this and charged him, but Eragon's friend Murtagh, who came to help, aided him in the fight. Eragon, not making his escape the first priority, went back to save an elf, who he saw in his dreams. After they make their escape succesfully with Saphira, Eragon's dragon, they continue to be on the run. The elf is a burden during their travelings. If I was Eragon, I would not have risked my life to save an elf in comatose, who I saw only in my dreams (even if she/he is a beautiful elf). I would've just hightailed it out of their on my dragon.
In my book Bruiser by Neal Shusterman i am on page 97. A one event in the book is when Tennyson follows bruiser home to find that his cow had recently been killed. As the bruiser's little brother cried over the cow their uncle came out ready to beat the child with a belt. Suddenly Tennyson jumps up telling the man to stop. If I were to be put in this position I would have left as soon as I saw the dead cow for I would not want to be blamed for such a tragedy.
Bridget I read that but was unimpressed with it compared to the rest of the series.
I am reading The girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larson, I am on page 300.
In this book, Lisbeth Salander goes to her guardian's home and knocks on the door several times with no response. So she went on the outside of the building climbed up and broke the window to get inside and found her guardian on the floor after he had just had a stroke. But, at the door she could have walked away and come back later, which is what i would've done. It's just rude to break into someone's apartment and breaking their window, but it turned out in the best.
Lena ~ when you say "turning pixie" does that mean turning into a pixie. and is that book based around vikings because vikings used to believe in going to Valhalla if you died honorably in combat.
My book is Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone by J.K. Rowling and I am on page 228. A recent event that happened in the book was that Harry caught a golden snitch by almost swallowing it in his first Qudditch match. Before that, Harry’s broom was being “bewitched” by Snape and Harry almost fell hundreds of feet to the ground. If I were in that situation they would be sweeping my body off the field because I have terrible balance. And if I had caught a snitch in my mouth, I would probably swallow it out of panic.
I am reading the book The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. I am currently on page 46.
A recent event that happened in this book was that the old man, Samuel W. Westing, was finally discovered and addressed as dead. This happened because the little girl, Turtle Wexler, was dared to enter the Westing Mansion, where stories had said Mr. Westing died on his Oriental rug. She snuck into the Westing Mansion and found Mr. Westing not on the floor but in his bed with a note on his dresser reading: If I am found dead in bed . . . Turtle was quite startled and managed to fall down the stairs leading to the bedroom. She was highly injured and dropped her precious necklace on the way down.
If I were in that situation, I would have not been the type of person to go in the mansion in the first place, but in this case I would have to. In the house, I would try not to touch anything or mess with anything. Instead I would go straight for the body. Once I found the body, I would most likely scream . . . then find myself out of the large estate, unlike Turtle who had a fun time scoping the place out first.
Connor ~ I love Harry Potter! It has to be my all time favorite movie/book series. Try to finish the whole series because it is just fantastic. Great job by the way.
I just started reading a book called The Summer I Learned To Fly by Dana Reinhardt, and I am on page 9. The main character in the novel is named Drew and she is going into 8th grade, during summertime. Her Mom is completely obsessed with cheese and is in the process of opening a cheese shop named The Cheese Shop. The only thing holding her Mom back is the health inspecter who will not sign the papers stating her store is clean and is functioned properly. Her Mom is trying to pass the health inspection requirements in order to have the ability to open the resturant to the public. The biggest event that has transpired so far is the part when the health inspecter, Fletcher Melcher, comes into Drew's family's shop and starts to critisize the way Drew's family runs the shop. He checks the temperature on all of the fridges and freezers, makes sure everything is spotless, that the hot and cold water work in the sink, and that the bathrooms can function properly. This health inspecter is not just any health imspecter, he tries to find fault in everything in their cheese shop, in order to delay them from starting the resturant. If I was in the story, I would have told this man to stop being so harsh to this family, becuase it is rude. And I would have probably had an attitude towards him too.
I am currently reading Somebody Everybody Listens To by Suzanne Supplee and am on page 59.
The main character, Retta, is following her dream by moving to Nashville Tennessee where she can become a country singer. Blessed with an amazing voice, she leaves with her neighbor's car and runs off to the city.
I could probably never do what Retta is doing now in the book. She left her family, he friends, and her future hanging. To take a risk like that isn't something I would do at that age. (She's fresh out of high school.) Although, we can't really tell how talented she is from the book, maybe she just has one of those one-of-a-kind voices that would make the trip worth it.
Rachel- The more I hear about Glee, the more I want to watch it... it sounds like a pretty good show.
Maggie- I didn't really like the end of Mockingjay that much. It was great writing and everything came together, it's just that the deaths of certain characters ruined it for me.
I am reading Through My Eyes by Tim Tebow and I am on page 132.
One event that I read about in the past week involved Tim Tebow's early high school football career. The Tebow family had an extensive history of family members that were affiliated with Jacksonville Trinity Christian Academy, the high school referred to as “Trinity” by Tim. Tim, and his other siblings, were homeschooled, but chose to play for Trinity in football. Ever since he started playing football, Tim had a passion for the position of quarterback. However, his coaches on different teams he played for throughout his childhood believed his body type was best fit for the position of linebacker. This is the mindset his coaches at Trinity had as well. Tim was most conflicted in his freshman year of high school when his coaches started him at linebacker and started another player at quarterback. Tim practiced his hardest when he was given the opportunity to show his quarterback skills but it was not successful. This caused Tim to leave this high school and play for Nease High School in St. Johns County.
If I were Tim, I would have handled this situation a bit differently. To start off, I believe the fact that he was only a freshman was a reason they did not want to start him at quarterback, possibly because he had never led a varsity football offense and they were not completely sure regarding his capability. As a sophomore, I believe the coaches would have felt more comfortable with him in the quarterback position. I would have stayed at Trinity and requested to privately talk with the coaches after the season ended. I would have stressed my passion to play quarterback in the talk with the coaches and I would have informed them that if I was not granted the opportunity, I would have to play for a different high school. I would have also worked harder than I ever had before during the offseason workouts and proven my capability to lead the offense and to show that I was better than any other player at the position. After proving everything I could provide for the offense, I believe that then the coaches would have started me.

Hunter- That sounds like a really interesting book! I agree with you, I would not have been able to leave my grandma behind. Just like you said, I would have had to have found an alternate escape route so I could take her with me.
I finished reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon.
One event in it is when Christopher's father comes looking for him at his mother's house, which is where he ran away to after he found out his dad killed Wellington, and tries to talk to him and apologize. Christopher is scared and can't trust him anymore, so he doesn't talk to him and holds out his Swiss Army knife instead. I would have been shocked, just like Christopher, but I wouldn't have completely ignored his father when he was crying and trying to work things out. I would have talked to him so that things wouldn't be so tense and awkward. I also feel like the Swiss Army knife was kind of overdoing it.
I am currently reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult and I am on page 150. A recent scene would be Anna's parents getting the letter telling them that Anna was planning to sue for rights to her own body. Anna's mother, of course, went crazy at the sight of this and demanded that Anna explain why she wanted this, knowing that it would kill her sister. Her dad tries to work things out calmly, but Anna does not want to talk. If I were Anna, I think that I would have stayed strong and held my ground. I think that the fact that Kate has cancer and what Anna is doing is saving her makes people overlook everything that Anna has gone through. She has absolutely no say in the matter, and her body is the needles are being put into HER. She was literally born to save her sister, and as much as she loves her, she wants a better life for herself than the unrecognized younger sibling. I think that I would feel exactly the same way, I couldn't take not being able to feel at home and accepted around my own family. And I can imagine how used she feels all the time.
I am reading Need by Carrie Jones and I am on page 96. One event in my book is that Zara is the new girl at her school in Maine, and in her spanish class she is met with a familiar face, Megan, who has been mean to her since she first arrived and has never even gotten the chance to get to know her. Megan appears again in Zara's P.E. class, where she continues to throw around hurtful words and sarcastic remarks, such as, "Maybe she ran in whatever little southern hole she crawled out of, but not up here." If I was in that situation as Zara, I'm sure Megan would bother me, but ultimately I would just ignore it until things started getting more serious, and that is what Zara does.
The book I am currently reading is Forever by Maggie Stiefvater and I am on page 298.
An event that recently happened is when Sam was at work and a police officer stopped by and asked him to come to the police station for questioning about Olivia, a girl whom wolves on his property line killed. He was very nervous about this because he had known Olivia and he also wasn’t in a good situation because many people around town felt that he had killed his girlfriend, Grace. He agrees to go down and they ask him about where his father is and if he had anything to do with Olivia’s death. If I had been in this situation I wouldn’t have answered any questions or even gone down to the station for questioning. I feel everything would’ve turned out okay in the end. If I know I didn’t do anything wrong then why do I need to answer any questions. Eventually they will figure out I was innocent.
I am reading Through my Eyes by Tim Tebow with Nathan Whitaker. I am currently on page 57. In my book there was a recent event that happened concerning “Uncle Dick”. While Tim was growing up Uncle Dick passed away. Tim handled the passing of Uncle Dick extremely well. He understood that Uncle Dick was with Jesus in heaven from then on. To me if I was Tim, I would have been heartbroken knowing how close he was to him in his life. Losing a friend is hard enough to deal with, but losing someone who is like a father to you is incomprehensible to me. I don’t understand how Tim handled his passing so well.
I am currently reading The Scorch Trials by James Dashner and am on page 369. A recent event in my book is when Thomas and Brenda were separated from Jorge and the rest of the Gladers from a bomb explosion. Thomas and Brenda then went exploring in catacombs for a way out. If I was in that situation, I would have tried to work through the rubble, back out to where I got separated from the group, and then search for the group.
One event in the book was when Blake and Quinn came back from the amusement park only to find out the their mom just got engaged to Carl. I would have been very mad at my mom, and stormed off to my room without talking to her, and if i even did say something to her it would be rude.

I am currently reading Shattered by Dean Koontz and I am on page 23. I just started so there hasn’t been really much going on except for the fact that Alex and Collin, Alex’s wife’s 11 year old brother, are moving to Los Angeles, California for Alex’s job. His wife is already there helping the moving guys, but Alex and Collin had to drive there from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The only major event that happened was that a white van had started following them from the time they left and when Alex and Collin stop for breakfast, the van turns in with them. When they finished eating breakfast and headed out, the van was gone. They thought that it was an FBI agent who was following the wrong guys and left after realizing it. If I was being followed by a big white van, I would have probably called the cops after about 30 minutes, just because it might have just been they were going the same direction as you. Collin is very smart and observant for his age so he noticed the van from the beginning and kept track of it the entire time. He saw it when it was parked out in front of their house, so that’s probably when I would have called the cops for stalking.
I am reading The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis and I am on page 29. In the book Peter, Lucy, Susan, and Edmund return to Narnia specifically in the Cair Paravel castle where they we once reigned. The castle had been inhabited for many years. They had come across the Chamber of Treasures and found things that were "valued more than their whole entire kingdom." They wanted to take some of the stuff back with them. If I were in that situation I would leave the things there. The reason why is because they would have no use back in the regular world. Even if the items were once Susan, Lucy, and Peter's they now belong to the kingdom, that's why they had been placed in the Chamber of Treasures. Taking one of the treasures could end up bad, that's why I would leave the items. Even if the items were sentimental to me, anything could happen when I took them because they are in a magical world. If the place had been inhabited for years it will continue to be inhabited, therefore the treasures will continue to be there. So in order to see them all I have to do was to visit Cair Paravel in Narnia, instead of stealing items from the chamber of treasures.
Cameron- Wow, that sounds like an extraordinary book. I find it interesting how the forest grows through the town, that is quite unique. I might have to read that book.
My book is Leepike Ridge by N.D. Wilson. I am on page 50 so far. WARNING: PART OF STORY WILL BE SPOILED
In the story, the main character Thomas Hammond (who is only eleven years old) decided to ride a slab of refrigerator packing foam down a stream next to his house. When doing this, the stream takes him into a cave where he gets lost and starts to get scared. When he ends up on a gravel shore inside of a mountain the stream took him into, he decides to lay down and stretch. When doing this he feels something rubber and realizes that it is the corpse of another lost cave dweller! Freaked out by this, Thomas does something that I would have done...he searched the man for things that could help him get out of the cave. He ends up finding a flashlight with extra batteries, a helmet, and pocketknife. He even snaps one of the corpses fingers off that has a ring on it. If I were him in this situation, I probably would have done exactly what he did. Of course I would have been scared at first, but eventually I would have realized that I probably would not live much longer without the dead man's belongings. If I lived, I would tell everyone about the dead body I found.
Nii soja, would you not look at the money aspect of it? Although it is mean, I would consider stealing the items one, for the money...and two, it used to be their kingdom. Bye the way I have read that series, it was really good. Especially the last book ;)
I am currently reading The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch and I am on page 99. There was a huge plague that wiped out most of America. Steven, the main character, and his dad have been wandering around, bartering items for other things that will be useful in their lives. When Steven's dad seriously injures himself, one family takes them in to one of the many secret communities that have begun popping up. One incident that recently occurred was when Steven stole some medicine from the family that was watching over him while his dad lay in a coma. Steven steals the medicine and leaves the community to hide it. He wishes to possibly come back to it later as a material that he and his dad could trade with.
If I were in this situation, I would not have stolen the medicine from the family because they did something out of their way to take in Steven and his dad, and Steven stabbed them in the back by stealing one of their possessions.
Joey, I would have done the same as you if I were in that situation. The corpse could have had some vital materials that could help you escape and survive. Great work!

My book is Entice by Carrie Jones and I just finished it, it’s SO amazing!
**SPOILER ALERT**
One event in the book, is when Zara (main character) witnessed Nick (Zara's boyfriend, most important person in the world to Zara and soul mate) 's death and a servant of Odin (mystical god) takes Nick back to Valhalla (Odin's home, like heaven) to bring him back to life and keep him as a warrior for the Great War. The Great War will be in Maine when all mystic creatures and humans have a huge war called The End of the World. The only way Zara can go to Valhalla and bring Nick back is if she turns pixie. However, that would mean taking the risk of Nick never wanting to be with her again because Nick isn't 100% human and he hates pixies. Zara decides to turn pixie even though she's not positive Nick's even alive in Valhalla, but she can't stand losing him and decides he's worth herself being human. However, because of Zara's decision some of her family is turning her back on her because of what she is.
If I were in this situation I wouldn't turn pixie, because I wouldn't think that he is worth it. I would probably also move to a different part of the USA, somewhere other than the place when the war will break out.
My book is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins and I'm on page 119.
(Don't read this if you haven't read Mockingjay yet, otherwise you'll be rather disappointed when I ruin this one part of the book and you'll miss out on the shock that everyone else got to experience in the actual book, in the actual words of the author instead of the amateur writer, like myself. Which it would be myself.)
A recent even in the story was a big shock to everyone taking part in the event. Peeta (who's madly in love with Katniss) has been captured by the Capitol and Katniss had been rescued by the Rebels and now resides in District 13 at the end of the 75th Hunger Games. Katniss had been living in unhappiness without Peeta for 7 weeks and finally a rescue team was put together to save him from the Capitol. When he got back (he was saved along with two others), Katniss ran straight to his Hospital bed because he'd been knocked out with a gas. Katniss shoved the door open to see Peeta and she opened his arms, and so did he. When they met he started to strangle her. Afterwards when she woke up in her own hospital bed because Peeta had knocked her out. If I were her when she woke up, I would be so upset and furious with him and probably go strangle him a little to get back at him! Then I'd demand to know why he did that, with his explanation and no one making excuses for his behavior.

I am reading the son of Neptune by Rick Riordan, I am on page 186. In my book Percy just attended a senate meeting at Camp Jupiter to discuses the quest that Mars, the war god, has demanded he go on. During this meeting Octavian, a influential camper accused Percy of being a trader and a spy for the giants. Percy managed to ignore his comment and continued discussing plans for the quest. If I had been in his place I would not have stood for such a remark. I would remind Octavian that I had just come to a safe haven after months of wandering fighting monster and now I was leaving again to try to save a camp I had only just arrived at. Percy seems to be able to stay calm in these type of situations which is good because he has only just arrived at camp and Octavian’s word has more meaning among the campers that his does, I may not have been able to though.

The book that I just finished is Glee: Foreign Exchange and it does not say who wrote it. One event that happened in the book was the deal between Quinn and the Cheerios against Rachel. Rachel had noticed that the three friends had been skipping classes and glee club so she threatened to tell Principal Figgins about their absence and the only way she wouldn't tell is if they went to the glee rehearsals. But Quinn knew Rachel's weaknesses and added a twist, Rachel was not allowed to talk to Finn for two weekes and they would be watching her very closely. If I was Rachel I wouldn't have agreed to the deal since Finn likes talking to Rachel and Rachel really likes Finn.

One recent event was the boy named Jason did not know wher he was or who he was with. he had a girlfriend and he was in a camp for misfits. he was afraid. he noticed the sky changed from clear skies to a massive storm. also the coach was rambling on about now he has to protect another one of "you" people. but he stayed there. if i was in that situation i would have probably ran away to mexico and changed my name to pablo.
The book that I am currently reading is Pretty Little Liars: Unbelievable, by Sara Shepard. I am on page 215.
A recent event in the book is where Hanna was run over by a car for "knowing too much." Apparently she knew who A was, so it is believed that A was the one behind the wheel. What the characters in the book did was call 911 and get Hanna into the hospital. Once she woke up from her coma, she forgot everything from the night of the accident. Spencer, Aria, and Emily prodded her with questions trying to provoke the memory, but nothing came of it.
What I would of done was take Hanna to the therapist that Spencer had who hypnotized her into remebering the night of Ali's death. I would ask the therapist to hypnotize her into remembering who A was.

The book I just finished is The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.
The plot line of this story is very complex and confusing. The main point of the story is that the two main characters Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncreiff have made up pretend brothers to get out of events they don't want to go to. They are also both engaged.
The most recent, and last, event that happens has to do with a side plot of how Mr. Worthing has no parents. He does know he was left in a bag in a train station. At the end of the book, Mr. Moncreiff's Aunt Augusta meets Mr. Worthing's assistant Miss Prism. Aunt Augusta (also known as Lady Bracknell) realizes that Miss Prism is the same person who lost her sisters son. This son turns out to be Mr. Worthing, making him Mr. Moncreiff's brother.
If I were Mr. Worthing, finding this out would seem odd and almost terrible. Out of all things I probably would've least expected that to happen. It would be very hard to believe that, but in the end I would really just have trouble with the question of what would happen next.

I haven't read Mockingjay, and probably won't, but read the first two books. That is really interesting and if I were reading it I'd immediately want to know why that happened.
I am reading The Outcasts by John Flanagan. Page 34. The event that sets the rest of the series is when the Skandians, pirates and mercenaries, rob a village and on their return to their ship they are attacked. Two of them sacrifice their lives to save the rest of the crew. One of them was Hal's father, Thorn, leaving Hal, the main character, an orphan. If I were in Thorn's position I would have fought because there is a chance of surviving then. Also if my fellow comrades meant a lot to me and if my sacrifice would save the rest of them I would sacrifice myself.

I am reading The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan and I am on page 455.

Recently in my book, the three main characters, Percy Jackson, Frank Zhang, and Hazel Levesque have to escape Frank's family mansion as Fire Cannon Throwing Ogres are trying to eat Frank. However the three have to escape but leave behind Frank's mansion and grandmother who would most likely die. They escape and the ogres unfortunately, burn the mansion down while the Three heros are in a plane to Alaska.
If I were in Frank's position, I honestly do not know if I could leave behind my family's mansion and there's no way I could've left my grandma. I would try to find some way to escape with my grandma before leaving.
Bridget the book gets really good at the end. Keep one reading it!
My book is Ruthless by Sara Shepard and I am on page 15.

There are some major things I would have done differently already in the book. Spencer (one of the four main characters) was caught with drugs. Kelsey (her friend) was also doing it with her. While she was being questioned by the police they were saying things that Kelsey had never said. Spencer is little Ms.GoodyTwoShoes and is afraid this will ruin her reputation. So she decided to call her friend Hanna (another one of the four main characters) to take the drugs she gave Hanna at a party and put them under Kelsey's pillow so the police would find them and blame Kelsey and let Spencer go. Hanna eventually decided to complete this task.
If I was Hanna I would have NEVER done this because I possibly could have gotten caught. Then I would also be in trouble too. Hanna already has a reputation of stealing items from stores so this would have been even more awful.
If I was Spencer I would not have asked my friend to do this. First of all it was SPENCER'S fault she had drugs. Second, this could have harmed the friendship between Hanna and Spencer. Spencer needed to take responsibility in her actions.

I'm reading the book Into the Wild by Sarah Beth Durst, I just finished it on page 260.
Well this book was very strange it has a growing forest spreading through the town that Julie is responsible for. Her mother was born in "The Wild" and is trapped there again, Julie is faced with the decision wether or not she should go in to save her mother and grandmother, or wether she should flee the country for safety. This is a very hard decision for Julie in the case that she could die. Julie decides to go into the Wild. Me personally in this situation I would have fled the country. I would have done this knowing that my mother was from the Wild and she knew how to handle it and be able to save herself. Being in Julie's position I wouldn't have trusted myself because I have never been in the Wild and know nothing about it, so in that case her mother has more experience than she does, so instead of me dying and then my mom coming out I would flee then wait for my mother to come out and meet back up with her.

I just started reading Alibi Junior High by Greg Logsted and I am on page 30.
On the chapter previous to the one I'm on now, the main character Cody was walking through the woods in the middle of the night when he started hearing some 'snap's and 'crackle's and stuff. Cody's dad was a secret CIA agent, so he has been trained to know how to handle this type of thing, so he SILENTLY slid under a bush and jid until he saw the source of the noise. He saw that it was his new neighbor Andy, who had just come home from Iraq with no left arm. Andy said 'Cody, I'm impressed. I'm not sure if you're here or gone..... but if you can hear me, we should talk." outloud because he knew Cody was hiding somewhere in the woods. Cody saw him say this, but he stayed hidden and didn't reveal himself.
If that were me, first of all I would have freaked out and screamed and made a lot of scared noises after I heard the snaps and such, so Andy would have found me anyway, but if he didn't and I was hiding under the bush, I would have revealed myself and talked to him because Cody and Andy have alot in common and if Andy followed me out to the woods I would want to talk to him and ask him why and we would be able to relate with each other on being specially trained to always be on guard and stuff.

JMartinez- I've only read like one chapter of the first book, but I kind of know what it is all about, and that's really smart to take her to be hypnotized. I wouldn't have thought of that. I would be so freaked out if my friend was run over for knowing too much but she wasn't able to tell me what happened. That would really frustrate me!
I'm reading 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher and I'm on page 136. I'm currently on the story of Marcus Cooley, and he just stood Hannah up for their Valentines Day date! If I were Hannah Baker, I would hate Marcus for forever. At their school they have a fundraiser for the Cheerleaders and you fill out a paper on characteristics of people you like and they will find them and try to arrange your names so you can meet up. Well on marcus's list he got Hannah and they arranged to go out to Rosie's which was a little diner. But he is an awful person and stood hr up. First I think I would scream, then I would defiantly think of a way to get back at him which Hannah kind of did because she talks about him in her murder tapes. Earlier in the book Clay (the one currently listening to the tapes) talks with Marcus and he says "Hannah had no reason todo what she did to me, I don't deserve to be on the little tapes." so I'm waiting to see what his excuse is...it better be a good one.

My book is Eragon by Christopher Paolini and I am on page 362.
In one event in the book, Eragon, the main character was locked up in a prison in Gil' ead, a big city. He was being mocked by a Shade, a black sorcerer, he was also being drugged by food to keep him from being able to use magic. When he finally got rid of the drug effect, he unlocked the cell by magic and got out right away. Soldiers saw this and charged him, but Eragon's friend Murtagh, who came to help, aided him in the fight. Eragon, not making his escape the first priority, went back to save an elf, who he saw in his dreams. After they make their escape succesfully with Saphira, Eragon's dragon, they continue to be on the run. The elf is a burden during their travelings.
If I was Eragon, I would not have risked my life to save an elf in comatose, who I saw only in my dreams (even if she/he is a beautiful elf). I would've just hightailed it out of their on my dragon.

Alibi Junior high is a good book, though the ending is a bit anticlimatic. I kind of hope there will be a sequel.
In my book Bruiser by Neal Shusterman i am on page 97. A one event in the book is when Tennyson follows bruiser home to find that his cow had recently been killed. As the bruiser's little brother cried over the cow their uncle came out ready to beat the child with a belt. Suddenly Tennyson jumps up telling the man to stop. If I were to be put in this position I would have left as soon as I saw the dead cow for I would not want to be blamed for such a tragedy.
Bridget I read that but was unimpressed with it compared to the rest of the series.
I am reading The girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larson, I am on page 300.
In this book, Lisbeth Salander goes to her guardian's home and knocks on the door several times with no response. So she went on the outside of the building climbed up and broke the window to get inside and found her guardian on the floor after he had just had a stroke. But, at the door she could have walked away and come back later, which is what i would've done. It's just rude to break into someone's apartment and breaking their window, but it turned out in the best.
Lena ~ when you say "turning pixie" does that mean turning into a pixie. and is that book based around vikings because vikings used to believe in going to Valhalla if you died honorably in combat.
My book is Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone by J.K. Rowling and I am on page 228. A recent event that happened in the book was that Harry caught a golden snitch by almost swallowing it in his first Qudditch match. Before that, Harry’s broom was being “bewitched” by Snape and Harry almost fell hundreds of feet to the ground. If I were in that situation they would be sweeping my body off the field because I have terrible balance. And if I had caught a snitch in my mouth, I would probably swallow it out of panic.
I am reading the book The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin. I am currently on page 46.
A recent event that happened in this book was that the old man, Samuel W. Westing, was finally discovered and addressed as dead. This happened because the little girl, Turtle Wexler, was dared to enter the Westing Mansion, where stories had said Mr. Westing died on his Oriental rug. She snuck into the Westing Mansion and found Mr. Westing not on the floor but in his bed with a note on his dresser reading: If I am found dead in bed . . . Turtle was quite startled and managed to fall down the stairs leading to the bedroom. She was highly injured and dropped her precious necklace on the way down.
If I were in that situation, I would have not been the type of person to go in the mansion in the first place, but in this case I would have to. In the house, I would try not to touch anything or mess with anything. Instead I would go straight for the body. Once I found the body, I would most likely scream . . . then find myself out of the large estate, unlike Turtle who had a fun time scoping the place out first.
Hunter- That book was even better than the first one, how do you think it is?
Connor ~ I love Harry Potter! It has to be my all time favorite movie/book series. Try to finish the whole series because it is just fantastic. Great job by the way.
I just started reading a book called The Summer I Learned To Fly by Dana Reinhardt, and I am on page 9. The main character in the novel is named Drew and she is going into 8th grade, during summertime. Her Mom is completely obsessed with cheese and is in the process of opening a cheese shop named The Cheese Shop. The only thing holding her Mom back is the health inspecter who will not sign the papers stating her store is clean and is functioned properly. Her Mom is trying to pass the health inspection requirements in order to have the ability to open the resturant to the public. The biggest event that has transpired so far is the part when the health inspecter, Fletcher Melcher, comes into Drew's family's shop and starts to critisize the way Drew's family runs the shop. He checks the temperature on all of the fridges and freezers, makes sure everything is spotless, that the hot and cold water work in the sink, and that the bathrooms can function properly. This health inspecter is not just any health imspecter, he tries to find fault in everything in their cheese shop, in order to delay them from starting the resturant.
If I was in the story, I would have told this man to stop being so harsh to this family, becuase it is rude. And I would have probably had an attitude towards him too.
Tucker~ that book sounds terrible, cruel, and sad. Expecially because I have cows. Is it even a good book?
I am currently reading Somebody Everybody Listens To by Suzanne Supplee and am on page 59.
The main character, Retta, is following her dream by moving to Nashville Tennessee where she can become a country singer. Blessed with an amazing voice, she leaves with her neighbor's car and runs off to the city.
I could probably never do what Retta is doing now in the book. She left her family, he friends, and her future hanging. To take a risk like that isn't something I would do at that age. (She's fresh out of high school.) Although, we can't really tell how talented she is from the book, maybe she just has one of those one-of-a-kind voices that would make the trip worth it.
Rachel- The more I hear about Glee, the more I want to watch it... it sounds like a pretty good show.
Maggie- I didn't really like the end of Mockingjay that much. It was great writing and everything came together, it's just that the deaths of certain characters ruined it for me.
I am reading Through My Eyes by Tim Tebow and I am on page 132.
One event that I read about in the past week involved Tim Tebow's early high school football career. The Tebow family had an extensive history of family members that were affiliated with Jacksonville Trinity Christian Academy, the high school referred to as “Trinity” by Tim. Tim, and his other siblings, were homeschooled, but chose to play for Trinity in football. Ever since he started playing football, Tim had a passion for the position of quarterback. However, his coaches on different teams he played for throughout his childhood believed his body type was best fit for the position of linebacker. This is the mindset his coaches at Trinity had as well. Tim was most conflicted in his freshman year of high school when his coaches started him at linebacker and started another player at quarterback. Tim practiced his hardest when he was given the opportunity to show his quarterback skills but it was not successful. This caused Tim to leave this high school and play for Nease High School in St. Johns County.
If I were Tim, I would have handled this situation a bit differently. To start off, I believe the fact that he was only a freshman was a reason they did not want to start him at quarterback, possibly because he had never led a varsity football offense and they were not completely sure regarding his capability. As a sophomore, I believe the coaches would have felt more comfortable with him in the quarterback position. I would have stayed at Trinity and requested to privately talk with the coaches after the season ended. I would have stressed my passion to play quarterback in the talk with the coaches and I would have informed them that if I was not granted the opportunity, I would have to play for a different high school. I would have also worked harder than I ever had before during the offseason workouts and proven my capability to lead the offense and to show that I was better than any other player at the position. After proving everything I could provide for the offense, I believe that then the coaches would have started me.

That sounds like a really interesting book! I agree with you, I would not have been able to leave my grandma behind. Just like you said, I would have had to have found an alternate escape route so I could take her with me.
I finished reading The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon.
One event in it is when Christopher's father comes looking for him at his mother's house, which is where he ran away to after he found out his dad killed Wellington, and tries to talk to him and apologize. Christopher is scared and can't trust him anymore, so he doesn't talk to him and holds out his Swiss Army knife instead. I would have been shocked, just like Christopher, but I wouldn't have completely ignored his father when he was crying and trying to work things out. I would have talked to him so that things wouldn't be so tense and awkward. I also feel like the Swiss Army knife was kind of overdoing it.
Katie, I heard that The Westing Game was really good, but it sounds kind of creepy. Maybe I'll read it next?

I am currently reading My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult and I am on page 150. A recent scene would be Anna's parents getting the letter telling them that Anna was planning to sue for rights to her own body. Anna's mother, of course, went crazy at the sight of this and demanded that Anna explain why she wanted this, knowing that it would kill her sister. Her dad tries to work things out calmly, but Anna does not want to talk.
If I were Anna, I think that I would have stayed strong and held my ground. I think that the fact that Kate has cancer and what Anna is doing is saving her makes people overlook everything that Anna has gone through. She has absolutely no say in the matter, and her body is the needles are being put into HER. She was literally born to save her sister, and as much as she loves her, she wants a better life for herself than the unrecognized younger sibling. I think that I would feel exactly the same way, I couldn't take not being able to feel at home and accepted around my own family. And I can imagine how used she feels all the time.
I am reading Need by Carrie Jones and I am on page 96.
One event in my book is that Zara is the new girl at her school in Maine, and in her spanish class she is met with a familiar face, Megan, who has been mean to her since she first arrived and has never even gotten the chance to get to know her. Megan appears again in Zara's P.E. class, where she continues to throw around hurtful words and sarcastic remarks, such as, "Maybe she ran in whatever little southern hole she crawled out of, but not up here." If I was in that situation as Zara, I'm sure Megan would bother me, but ultimately I would just ignore it until things started getting more serious, and that is what Zara does.

Is that series as good as the original Percy Jackson books? I read them and loved them a while ago, but haven't read that series.
The book I am currently reading is Forever by Maggie Stiefvater and I am on page 298.
An event that recently happened is when Sam was at work and a police officer stopped by and asked him to come to the police station for questioning about Olivia, a girl whom wolves on his property line killed. He was very nervous about this because he had known Olivia and he also wasn’t in a good situation because many people around town felt that he had killed his girlfriend, Grace. He agrees to go down and they ask him about where his father is and if he had anything to do with Olivia’s death. If I had been in this situation I wouldn’t have answered any questions or even gone down to the station for questioning. I feel everything would’ve turned out okay in the end. If I know I didn’t do anything wrong then why do I need to answer any questions. Eventually they will figure out I was innocent.
Lena- That book sounds very adventurous and interesting. Is it part of a series?
I am reading Through my Eyes by Tim Tebow with Nathan Whitaker. I am currently on page 57.
In my book there was a recent event that happened concerning “Uncle Dick”. While Tim was growing up Uncle Dick passed away. Tim handled the passing of Uncle Dick extremely well. He understood that Uncle Dick was with Jesus in heaven from then on. To me if I was Tim, I would have been heartbroken knowing how close he was to him in his life. Losing a friend is hard enough to deal with, but losing someone who is like a father to you is incomprehensible to me. I don’t understand how Tim handled his passing so well.

I am currently reading The Scorch Trials by James Dashner and am on page 369. A recent event in my book is when Thomas and Brenda were separated from Jorge and the rest of the Gladers from a bomb explosion. Thomas and Brenda then went exploring in catacombs for a way out. If I was in that situation, I would have tried to work through the rubble, back out to where I got separated from the group, and then search for the group.

I am also surprised at how well Tim took the news. If I was in his position I would be heartbroken as well.

One event in the book was when Blake and Quinn came back from the amusement park only to find out the their mom just got engaged to Carl. I would have been very mad at my mom, and stormed off to my room without talking to her, and if i even did say something to her it would be rude.

I am currently reading Shattered by Dean Koontz and I am on page 23. I just started so there hasn’t been really much going on except for the fact that Alex and Collin, Alex’s wife’s 11 year old brother, are moving to Los Angeles, California for Alex’s job. His wife is already there helping the moving guys, but Alex and Collin had to drive there from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The only major event that happened was that a white van had started following them from the time they left and when Alex and Collin stop for breakfast, the van turns in with them. When they finished eating breakfast and headed out, the van was gone. They thought that it was an FBI agent who was following the wrong guys and left after realizing it. If I was being followed by a big white van, I would have probably called the cops after about 30 minutes, just because it might have just been they were going the same direction as you. Collin is very smart and observant for his age so he noticed the van from the beginning and kept track of it the entire time. He saw it when it was parked out in front of their house, so that’s probably when I would have called the cops for stalking.

I am reading The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian by C.S. Lewis and I am on page 29. In the book Peter, Lucy, Susan, and Edmund return to Narnia specifically in the Cair Paravel castle where they we once reigned. The castle had been inhabited for many years. They had come across the Chamber of Treasures and found things that were "valued more than their whole entire kingdom." They wanted to take some of the stuff back with them. If I were in that situation I would leave the things there. The reason why is because they would have no use back in the regular world. Even if the items were once Susan, Lucy, and Peter's they now belong to the kingdom, that's why they had been placed in the Chamber of Treasures. Taking one of the treasures could end up bad, that's why I would leave the items. Even if the items were sentimental to me, anything could happen when I took them because they are in a magical world. If the place had been inhabited for years it will continue to be inhabited, therefore the treasures will continue to be there. So in order to see them all I have to do was to visit Cair Paravel in Narnia, instead of stealing items from the chamber of treasures.
Cameron- Wow, that sounds like an extraordinary book. I find it interesting how the forest grows through the town, that is quite unique. I might have to read that book.
My book is Leepike Ridge by N.D. Wilson. I am on page 50 so far.
WARNING: PART OF STORY WILL BE SPOILED
In the story, the main character Thomas Hammond (who is only eleven years old) decided to ride a slab of refrigerator packing foam down a stream next to his house. When doing this, the stream takes him into a cave where he gets lost and starts to get scared. When he ends up on a gravel shore inside of a mountain the stream took him into, he decides to lay down and stretch. When doing this he feels something rubber and realizes that it is the corpse of another lost cave dweller! Freaked out by this, Thomas does something that I would have done...he searched the man for things that could help him get out of the cave. He ends up finding a flashlight with extra batteries, a helmet, and pocketknife. He even snaps one of the corpses fingers off that has a ring on it. If I were him in this situation, I probably would have done exactly what he did. Of course I would have been scared at first, but eventually I would have realized that I probably would not live much longer without the dead man's belongings. If I lived, I would tell everyone about the dead body I found.
Nii soja, would you not look at the money aspect of it? Although it is mean, I would consider stealing the items one, for the money...and two, it used to be their kingdom. Bye the way I have read that series, it was really good. Especially the last book ;)
I am currently reading The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch and I am on page 99. There was a huge plague that wiped out most of America. Steven, the main character, and his dad have been wandering around, bartering items for other things that will be useful in their lives. When Steven's dad seriously injures himself, one family takes them in to one of the many secret communities that have begun popping up. One incident that recently occurred was when Steven stole some medicine from the family that was watching over him while his dad lay in a coma. Steven steals the medicine and leaves the community to hide it. He wishes to possibly come back to it later as a material that he and his dad could trade with.
If I were in this situation, I would not have stolen the medicine from the family because they did something out of their way to take in Steven and his dad, and Steven stabbed them in the back by stealing one of their possessions.
Joey, I would have done the same as you if I were in that situation. The corpse could have had some vital materials that could help you escape and survive. Great work!
