Starwars Tales of Bounty Hunters By Kevin J. Anderson and page 26. I would want to take the place of Boba Fett the Bounty Hunter because i think it will be cool to be an assassin for hire. Also he has a lot of cool gagets, he has a custom made assult rifle and a jetpack. He also has a cool backstory. When he was a boy his dad was killed by a Jedi Knight that is why he wants to kill all Jedi.

I am reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and I am on page 92. In my book i would want to take the place of Harry because he conquered death as a baby and is a celebrity for it. Wherever he goes he is greeted by famous wizards and everyone wants to be his friend. He also becomes friends with his headmaster and one of the greatest wizards ever, Dumbledore.

Jared- I would also be mad if my dad died when i was young. Sounds like a good book.

Katherine Paterson/The Day of the Pelican/pg 102

My book takes place during a war between Albanians and Serbian oppressors. Recently, Meli Lleshi's family (the main character) has undergone a strenuous and unbelievably hard journey to get to freedom. They have been all across the country running from Serbian oppressors, where after several different temporary "homes" (mostly tents and the side of the road) they end up in a refugee camp. At this time, Americans have gotten involved in the war. NATO is bombing Serbs, and Serbians and robbing and burning Albanian farms (Meli's family being a victim) leaving most Albanians starving in the street. The war seems like it will never let up, and the Lleshi's future looks bleak. There is no one they can go other than the refugee camp they are at, and suddenly one day the war ends. This is very shocking because the Serb ruler just surrendered and from what they were doing earlier in the book, it sounded like the Serbs were not going to give up easy. I was surprised that with all the Serbs had done and how they got so many Albanians out starving on the streets, they wouldn't even put up a fight against American bombs. After how successful they were in Albania, I thought that the Serbs would be ready for a long and deadly war that involved bombing on both sides. However, as soon as the Americans started bombing, the Serbs surrendered.

The book I am currently reading now is called The Ovechkin Project by Damien Cox and Gare Joyce. I am on page 13 of this book. If i could choose any character to switch places with in my book it would be Ovechkin. I would switch places with him because he receives a lot of money. He also played in the NHL and i want to play in the NHL when I get older.

Unwind by Neil Shoesterman, and im just finishing the book. *Spoiler alert* toward the end of the book the Sargent has a heart attack and they had to fly him to a hospital, and while their there one of the kids thats with them tells that their runaway unwinds and they get sent to unwind camps. if i was in this situation i would have just dropped off the guy and as soon as he was in the hospital i would leave, i know it sounds mean to leave him there all alone but i think he would rather have us safe than by his side.

jared- why do think that its a cool back story to have your father killed?

I am reading Deadly Little Games by Laurie Stolarz and I am on page 216.

The main character, Camelia, is helping her ex-boyfriend solve a life-threatening mystery. Adam, the ex-boyfriend, keeps getting crossword puzzles in the mail, and when he adds up all of the answers, it really is a creepy message, such as "I want to see you bleed" and "You deserve to die". The problem is that Adam refuses to call the police, even though he is in such a serious situation. If I were in Camelia's position, I would call the police anyway because I am the type of person who wouldn't want to figure it out on my own. I would also be way too scared to help Adam, because I am smart enough to know that my life would be in danger if I were involved. I really think that Camelia should be smarter about what she does and how she helps Adam.

Sam- My cousin is obsessed with Ovetchkin, too, and wants to play for the NHL. Your book sounds really cool, and I am sure my cousin would love it!

In my book Bruiser by Neal Shusterman I am on page 156.In my book I would want to take the place of Brewster because he has the ability to steal someones pain mental or physical from someone and let it burden him self. Although this would result in pain for myself when people were going through pain they could not handle I could help them. Overall the ability would allow me to help friends and family through tough times. The only issue is that often times he can not control who's pain he takes so he is constantly put through pain.

AMoore- I absolutely love that book it is amazing and how could you leave the Sargent he tries to do so much for those poor unwinds and he would have a;ready done so much for you if you were in their situation.

The book I just recently finished was The Scorch Trials by James Dashner. A surprising twist in this book is at the end of the book when Thomas and the rest of the group were safe in WICKED's ship. Along Thomas' journey, two people named Brenda and Jorge followed him and the gladers on their trip but that was not what WICKED had wanted or expected to happen. So a man on the ship demanded who they were and then told Thomas that he could only choose one of them to survive. The twist was when Thomas told the man to kill Brenda instead of Jorge even though Thomas was much more fond of Brenda than Jorge. Thomas had expected the man to kill whoever he did not choose but that was not the case.

Connor-
I completely agree with your choice on picking Harry to take the place of Harry because being famous sounds great.

Blog #16- Describe a recent event from your book. Then, tell us how YOU would have handled the situation if you were in the story.
I am reading A Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin and am currently on page 153 right now.
A recent situation in my book is when Daenerys., a young girl who is the daughter of the former rulers of the realm, gets married to a foreign man who is very powerful. She does not know this man and is marrying him because her brother wants the man's military assistance in a rebellion against the current King. If I were in this situation I would have made sure to talk and get to know the man, his culture, and especially his language before the wedding. Neither she nor I if I were in her situation would have been able to escape the marriage because her brother is a ruthless and abusive young man who is easily angered and would kill her if she did anything to ruin the creation of his new alliance. So, because of this I would do as much as I could to try and make the adjustment to marriage to a foreign man and his unknown culture as easy and happy as possible.
LSakalla6-
That is very similar to the book series that I really enjoyed called the Wicked Lovely series by Melissa Marr. Instead of pixies it is about the race of mystical creatures from the world of Faery called faeries, imagine that!

I am currenlty reading Leepike Ridge by N.D. Wilson and am on page 217. A twist that occured in my book that I thought was suprising was when Thomas Hammond (the main character) found a dead body in the cave that he was lost in. This was suprising because I thought that he would find treasure or something else immedialty. Even more suprising, was that Thomas went to the extent of breaking the bodys finger of for the ring that was on it. He aslo wore the clothes that were on the dead body. I found this suprising also because I figured that when he found the dead body he would immedialty be frightened and try to get as far as away he could from it. I never would of thought that he would break its finger off because I certainly would not.

Jared, that does sound cool. I would not want to be him though just because he has the risk of getting killed. Sounds like a great book!

I am reading Places I never Meant to Be by Judy Blume, and I am on page 175. If I had to take the place of any character in this book it would be Spear, or his real name, Adrian. This is because he is an extremely inspirational character in his story. He is not afraid to go with his heart and float away from the status quo. All of his friends and even parents do not approve of his feelings and think that it is not right for a black boy to love a white girl. And coming from a civil rights activist family, he knows that it isn't right for him to discriminate in the exact same way. I would be proud to have the strength to be able to turn the other cheek to everyone esle's opinion. Especially since he was going to a basically all black school, it took a lot of bravery to say that he did not care what race she was, he loved her.

Alex~
I read the Hunger Games last year in reach, but how is Unwind? I really want to read it since I did not last year, how do you like it?

I am reading The Accidental Family by Rowan Coleman. I will post the page I am on when I get home, since I don't exactly remember. I would want to take the place of the youngest of the two daughters, Izzy. She speaks her mind whenever she wants, and always tell exactly what she thinks of something whether it is good or bad. If I was Izzy, I would have an older sister Bella, and I would get to go to a nice bakery with my soon-to-be-mom, Sophie Mills. I would not be able to have my real dad and Sophie Mills get married. Izzy is such a free spirit, and I would love to be her for the remainder of the story. it would be so fun, and if my book became a movie, I would definitely want to be Izzy!

I am reading And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie and I just started.
Eight people who are all strangers to one another are invited to and Indian Island. If I were invited, I would not even consider accepting unless I had full, true information from the individuals who invited me. I would so extensive research on th eplace and figure out what would really be happening there instead of just accepting the offer right off the bat and going to a place that I know nothing about.
Jared-
They have a starwars book series? And I agree, being a paid assasin might be cool, as long as you do not get killed yourself.
Connor- I agree with you, I would like to be Harry also. Minus the stress and hassle of continuous death threats and people trying to kill me all the time.

I'm reading Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater and I am on page 84. Since it is still early in the book, there are no major twists, but there is still an event that surprised me. Grace, the main character, has been looking at the wolves in her backyard since she was little. When they supposedly attack a student that goes to her school, there is talk of killing the wolves, but it is vague and no one thinks they will actually do it. Grace is against this, because she has one particular wolf that is special to her. After school, the sister of the student that was killed by the wolves comes up to Grace and tells her that people have already started killing of the wolves. Even though I should have been expecting it, it was only briefly mentioned in the book, so it was a twist for me.

In My book Wintergirls by Laurie Halse Anderson page 104. The main character Lia is going through alot, she has a eating disorder, her best friend has died of an eating disorder, and her parents are so involved in thier own life to deal with how she is recovering. If I was going through this situation I would deal with her issues the same way as she would most likely. She investigates about her bestfriends death in a hotel room, which previously called her 33 times before the death so I would be very concerned in why she called so many times. The eating disorder, I cannot picture myself even being in her shoes because its just so intense, I would comply with the treatments to get better, but otherwise my life would be so messed up I would not know what to do.

Conner - Thats a really cool twist! I would have not chosen the same twist.

I am currently reading Pretty Little Liars: Killer, by Sara Shepard, and I am on page 264.
Spencer Hastings had a feeling that she was adopted because her grandmother only gave money to her "natural born grandchildren" when she died, and Spencer did not get any. Her then boyfriend signed her up on a site where adopted children can find their real parents, and after a while she found a match and visited her "real" mother in New York. When her parents took away her car for punishment she finally snapped and bought an apartment in New York with her college fund to live near her "mother." The twist was that when she went to see her apartment the driver said that it did not exist, when she called the realtor, the operator said that the number did not exist, and when she tried to visit her mother to ask her if the realtor changed his number the woman at the counter said that the "mother" did not live in the building.

I am currently reading and i am on page 27, The War of The Worlds by H. G. Wells.

If I could take anyones place I would take the place of Ogilvy. I would take Ogilvy's place because it seems like Ogilvy finds all of the cool things like the extraterrestrial stuff. In the book ogilvy and henderson find two men dead and they find this capsule looking thing that is supposively E.T. Ogivly also gets the attention from a bunch of observatories and publicity.

Jared,
That would be so kool! Boba fett is like so amazing, especically because of his jet pack.

Kate,
Wow. I can't imagine anyone being like that. Thats like to awesome.

I am re-reading The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins for the upcoming movie and am on page 103. I would take place of Katniss' sister Primrose for multiple reasons. The first reason is that she does not have to compete for her life in the Hunger Games like Katniss does. She is 12 years old and has one of the most famous sister in the country Panem. Lastly she does not have to participate in the Hunger Games even though she was chosen but her sister Katniss volunteered to take her spot as the Girl of District Twelve.

CJ~ That book sort of sounds like Pretty Little Liars. With the title and the description I instantly thought of those books.

I am still on IQ by Roland Smith (I will try to move on after NHD) and I am on page 170.

Quest is a magician and in this event he really puts on a show for a few people. Quest and Angela are both in a waiting room in a hospital. They are waiting for their friend Boone to come out of his emergency appointment. The only problem is that the reason they Boone was hurt was because Quest, Angela, and himself were chased by a band of men and women working against the government. And these people were now in the waiting room with Quest and Angela. So Quest puts on a show. He says to the chasers that he wants to show a trick since Angela is apparently sick of the new trick, and he says that if they are not impressed that he will give them four tickets to the Match concert (his parent's concert). He does an elaborate card trick that is very impressive but he ends up giving away the tickets anyways even though the people were impressed. If I were in the situation, I would have made a deal that would have benefited me. Maybe something like, "If you are impressed, you are to stop chasing my friends and I to our near death like this time." Or at least a promise of some money or so.

Joy-

That book is so good and very well plot driven! Even though it is kind of girly according to others...but I like it! I love how it shows both sides of the story so it makes it much more interesting.

I am reading The Choice by Nicholas Sparks, and am on page 244. It is about a man named Travis Parker who is a man who is not typically in a reltionship, and is not seeking for kids. BBQ's, boating, and swimming were the perfect way to live his life, until he fell in love with Gabby Holland. If I were to be a character in this novel, I would want to be Travis. I would choose to be him because throughout the book, you are able to see how Travis changes his life to be with Gabby. Two years into their marriage, Gabby and Travis were in a car wreck, and Gabby ends up in a coma for three months after the wreck. It is now up to Travis to make the decision on whether to let Gabby stay in a coma, and hope she will come out of it, or just not let her suffer, and kill her. Reading this book through Travis' perspective shows me how far people would go for love.
